Summer Program 2026 at the School of Public Health Offers 26 Options for Free and Paid Online and In-Person Courses; Registrations are Open Until December.
The University of São Paulo (USP) has opened registrations for its traditional Summer Program 2026, focused on public health. According to information from CNN, the initiative of the School of Public Health (FSP) offers a total of 26 extension options, including free and paid courses, aimed at updating and providing supplementary education. The class period will take place from January 19 to February 6, 2026.
The main differentiator of the program, according to USP, is that it is open to the general public, not requiring any prior connection with the university, whether as a student or a professional. The main goal is to promote knowledge exchange among researchers, professionals from various fields, and any citizen interested in the topics. Registrations, which began this Wednesday (29), will remain open until December 12.
What Will Be Offered in the Summer Program at USP?
The program is robust and covers various dimensions of the health sector, from social and environmental issues to the application of new technologies in care. According to data released by CNN, participants will be able to choose from themes ranging from statistical analyses and epidemiological models to in-depth discussions on mental health in the workplace. Diversity is a strong point of the initiative.

USP has structured the program to cater both to those seeking technical updates and to those wanting to better understand the collective health issues that impact the daily lives of the population.
How Do Free and Paid Courses Work?
Of the total 26 courses, the vast majority (24) are paid, with prices considered accessible, ranging from R$ 100 to R$ 600. These amounts, as detailed by the FSP, aim to cover costs and allow for broad participation. Additionally, the program offers flexibility, with options for classes in in-person or online (EaD) formats, allowing people from outside São Paulo to participate as well.
The highlight of the program is the two free courses. The first, “Management, Regulation, and Evaluation in Public Health of SUS,” will be offered online (EaD). The second, “Aging in the City of São Paulo,” will be in person. Due to the expected high demand, spots for these two free modalities will be determined by a lottery, scheduled for January 5, 2026.
How to Register?
The registration process differs depending on the chosen modality. For the 24 paid courses, interested parties must register directly through the FSP’s own system, where it is necessary to create a student account. The final deadline for all modalities is December 12.
For the two free courses (SUS Management and Aging), registration must be done through the Apolo system, the official course portal of USP. It is crucial for candidates for these spots to pay attention to the lottery in January. CNN reports that more details, including the complete notice, are available on USP’s website, and questions can be addressed via email at ceapcursos@fsp.usp.br.
