The initiative is completely free and is part of two projects developed by the Literature course at University. The focus is to help elementary school students, adults undergoing retraining, and even senior citizens to develop language skills. In the case of the Portuguese course, for example, there will be 10 weekly meetings with duration of 1 hour each, focused on textual production, interpretation, writing, literary literacy and specific Enem content. The English course will have three levels available (beginner, intermediate and advanced) with weekly 1h30 classes, which is ideal for those looking for a more consistent study.

How the selection process works
For the Portuguese course, the process is very straightforward: just access the UVAprova project website, fill out the form with basic information and select the area of interest. After that, the candidate waits for confirmation by email and receives all instructions on the class schedule and access to the platform. There is no minimum age requirement.
For the English course, the interested party must have at least 15 years and perform a placement test, which helps define whether the student should enter the basic, intermediate or advanced level. This test is also done online and takes about 30 minutes. After this step, the University sends confirmation of the class and schedule.

Registrations are made individually for each course, directly in the LINKS ABOVE. For UVAprova (Portuguese), the deadline is March 31. For Freire-Mandela (English), the form is available until April 7. Both sites are owned by University and offer technical support for anyone experiencing difficulties during registration.
