The New e-Trabalho Platform, Launched by the Federal District, Promises to Facilitate the Lives of Job Seekers. Discover How to Access and Take Advantage of the Opportunities Offered in the Job Market of the Capital City!
The search for a job can be a challenge, especially in a competitive market. To assist the citizens of the Federal District (DF) in this journey, the Department of Economic Development, Labor and Income (Sedet) launched the e-Trabalho platform. Aiming to facilitate access to information about job openings and training services, the platform promises to be a valuable resource for those seeking new opportunities in the market.
What Is e-Trabalho?

The e-Trabalho is a public platform that brings together data from workers and companies. According to the ordinance published in the Official Gazette of the DF on October 23, the tool already has nearly 580,000 registered individuals, representing more than a third of the economically active population of DF, which is approximately 1.6 million.
Through this platform, Sedet aims to integrate information from job seekers with opportunities offered by companies, promoting a more efficient direction.

The importance of e-Trabalho goes beyond simply offering job vacancies. According to the Secretary of Economic Development, Employment and Income, Thales Mendes, the system crosses data from different bases, such as the Unified Cadastro and the New General Registry of Employed and Unemployed (CAGED).
This allows for the construction of profiles of the unemployed and understanding the most common characteristics among those seeking a position in the market.
How Does the Platform Work?
The e-Trabalho platform offers various functionalities, facilitating access to training programs and available job openings. Interested individuals can register directly online or through worker agencies and Social Assistance Reference Centers (Cras).
Registration is not only an important step to find a job but also to access programs such as Qualifica DF and Renova DF.
These programs are essential for training citizens. Qualifica DF offers free courses in the areas of agribusiness, commerce, services, health, and IT, while Renova DF focuses on professional training, also providing financial assistance and benefits such as transportation vouchers and personal accident insurance.
Transparency and Social Control
One of the main objectives of e-Trabalho is to ensure transparency in Sedet’s actions. The platform will allow oversight bodies, such as the Public Ministry and the Court of Accounts, to monitor the process and verify the efficiency of the services offered.
The intention is to ensure that public policies are directed at those who truly need them, prioritizing individuals in situations of social vulnerability.
Upon registering, candidates provide essential information such as income, education, and number of children. With this data, the system can classify the degree of vulnerability and prioritize assistance for those in more critical situations. This process is carried out automatically, without human intervention, ensuring equity in opportunities.
The results of Sedet’s actions are already beginning to show. Between January and August 2024, the Federal District generated over 34,000 signed jobs. This represents an important milestone, as the capital surpassed the mark of 1 million formal jobs, reaching a total of 1,002,416 positions, according to the New Caged.
The e-Trabalho is a direct response to the needs of the population and, if used correctly, can transform the reality of many citizens in search of employment. By offering an accessible and transparent platform, Sedet demonstrates a commitment to the economic and social development of the DF.
