Volkswagen Polo 2025 Undergoes Significant Changes in Version Offerings and Prices, Focusing on Different Audiences. The Manufacturer’s Strategies Aim to Enhance Competitiveness in the Compact Hatch Segment in Brazil.

Volkswagen has restructured the Polo 2025 lineup, directly impacting prices, configurations, and target audience.

The main change is in the Robust 1.0 MPI version, which is now sold exclusively to companies and fleets, exiting the traditional retail market.

The Polo Track 1.0 Aspirated, in turn, received a suggested price reduction for August, following a period of successive increases throughout the year.

The Polo remains available in four main configurations in the Brazilian market: Robust 1.0 MPI Manual, Track 1.0 MPI Manual, Sense 1.0 TSI Automatic, and Highline 1.0 TSI Automatic.

Prices range from R$ 92,660 to R$ 131,650, depending on the engine type, transmission, and equipment.

Robust 1.0 MPI Now Serves Only Companies

According to information, Volkswagen’s decision to restrict the sale of the Polo Robust 1.0 MPI to the corporate market aims to serve a specific segment: clients that require vehicles for intensive use, such as corporate fleets, rental companies, and public agencies.

This version features a simplified package, focusing on durability and low maintenance costs, without some convenience items present in other configurations.

The engine is the same 1.0 MPI aspirated three-cylinder, which delivers adequate performance for urban commuting and commercial use.

The transmission is a five-speed manual, favoring fuel economy and lower maintenance costs compared to automatic options.

According to the manufacturer, the exclusive direction to the direct sales channel allows for differentiated commercial conditions for companies, including larger discounts and facilitation in batch negotiations.

There is no official forecast for this configuration to return to conventional retail.

Polo Track Has Price Reduction in August

The Polo Track 1.0 MPI continues to serve as the entry point of the lineup for the end consumer.

In this configuration, the model is equipped with an aspirated engine of up to 84 hp, a manual transmission, and a basic equipment package, maintaining focus on robustness and cost-effectiveness.

In August 2025, the suggested price of the Track dropped from R$ 95,790 to R$ 92,660.

This price positions the model close to its level at the beginning of the year, when it cost R$ 92,990 after a January adjustment.

The price cut aims to make it more competitive against direct rivals such as Fiat Argo and Renault Stepway, as well as to cater to part of the fleet audience seeking entry-level cars.

Among the standard items are electric steering, air conditioning, electric front windows, and a braking system with ABS and stability control.

The visual maintains a simpler line, without chrome details and with steel wheels with hubcaps.

Polo Sense: Focus on PCD Audience

Just above in the range is the Polo Sense 1.0 TSI Automatic, sold for R$ 107,990.

This model is primarily aimed at the PCD (Persons with Disabilities) audience, but it can also be purchased by other retail customers.

The 1.0 Turbo TSI engine, combined with a six-speed automatic transmission, ensures superior performance compared to the aspirated versions.

The equipment package includes a multimedia center with a touchscreen, multifunction steering wheel, traction control, hill-start assist, and alloy wheels.

Additionally, it offers a more sophisticated level of finish, catering to consumers who prioritize comfort without reaching the price of higher-end versions.

Highline 170 TSI: Top of the Range

The Polo Highline 170 TSI Automatic remains the most complete configuration of the hatch.

With a price of R$ 131,650, it combines a 1.0 Turbo engine with 128 hp, automatic transmission, more refined design, and an extensive list of equipment.

The model features LED headlights, digital air conditioning, wireless phone charger, 17-inch alloy wheels, and advanced safety features.

It targets consumers looking for a compact hatch, but with an experience close to that of mid-sized models.

Polo Maintains Sales Leadership in Brazil

The good moment of the Volkswagen Polo is reflected in the numbers.

In July 2025, the hatch was the most sold car in the country, with 12,940 units sold, surpassing competitors such as Hyundai HB20, Fiat Argo, and Chevrolet Onix.

When adding results from light commercial vehicles, the Polo even outperformed the Fiat Strada, the traditional leader in the Brazilian general market.

The leadership reinforces Volkswagen’s strategy to diversify versions to serve different audiences, from large companies to consumers looking for a more equipped urban car.

Volkswagen’s Strategy in the Compact Segment

By designating the Robust version exclusively for companies and reducing the price of the Track, Volkswagen signals its intent to strengthen both the corporate market and the entry-level base of the Polo lineup.

The presence of turbo and aspirated options, with manual or automatic transmission, expands the model’s reach.

This versatility partly explains the performance in sales and the ability to compete across different price ranges within the compact hatch segment.

With prices ranging from just over R$ 92,000 to above R$ 131,000, the Polo covers a broad segment of the national market.
