Check Out This News: GWM Is Launching an SUV That Will Outshine the Corolla Cross and the Compass. I’m Talking About the H4, a Mid-Size SUV With a Competitive Price and Plenty of Technology. Let’s Check Out the Details of This Beauty!

GWM is not playing around and has launched the H4 to dominate the mid-size SUV segment in Brazil and compete directly with the Corolla Cross. With a more accessible price, the H4 aims to be the new favorite option for Brazilians. Built on a modern architecture that uses aluminum extensively, the H4 scored top marks in safety in the Euro NCAP, even outperforming the Jeep Compass!

The H4 is a GWM SUV with dimensions that promise to please: it measures 4.47m in length, 2.70m in wheelbase, 1.83m in width, and 1.65m in height, weighing 1,521 kg. The trunk has a capacity of 430 liters. The design is a show on its own, featuring an elegant front grille, a bumper with gray accents, fake air intakes, and an adaptable full LED lighting setup. On the sides, there are chrome frames around the windows and 18-inch diamond-cut wheels. The rear is modern, with an integrated spoiler, a bumper with gray trim, and full LED taillights.

Engine and Performance of the New GWM SUV

The GWM SUV does not disappoint when it comes to powertrain. The H4 comes with a 1.5 Turbo engine producing 150 horsepower paired with an electric motor at the rear, resulting in a combined power of 190 horsepower and 38.2 kgfm of torque. The transmission is a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic. And guess what: it is a hybrid flex, meaning lower emissions and the possibility of running on ethanol, which is cheaper in some states.

Interior and Technology

Inside, the H4 is a showcase of modernity and comfort. The finishing is of high quality, with premium materials all around. The interior space comfortably accommodates five adults. Among the technological highlights, we have an adjustable driver’s seat with electrical controls and massage feature, keyless entry, electronic parking brake, wireless phone charging, dual-zone climate control, and a panoramic sunroof. The multimedia center features a 10-inch screen with wireless connectivity for Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a 360º camera system, and native GPS.

Safety

When it comes to safety, the H4 does not fall short. It comes with six airbags, collision warning, traction and stability control, cross-traffic alert, autonomous emergency braking, blind-spot monitoring, traffic sign reader, adaptive cruise control with stop and go function, lane-keeping assistance, and a detector for animals, pedestrians, and cyclists. All of this makes the H4 one of the most complete mid-size SUVs on the market.

Arrival in Brazil

GWM is heavily investing in the Brazilian market and already has a factory here. The H4, the new GWM SUV, is expected to arrive in Brazil in the second half of this year, with prices between R$ 140,000 and R$ 180,000. With a modern and sophisticated mechanical set, the H4 promises to be a great cost-benefit option, following in the footsteps of its bigger brother, the H6.

The new GWM SUV, the H4, has everything to be a success in Brazil, outshining competitors like the Corolla Cross and the Compass. With modern design, cutting-edge technology, efficient engine, and a competitive price, it aims to win over Brazilians. So, what did you think of this news? Leave your opinion in the comments, and let’s hope the H4 hits the dealerships soon!
