The Triumph Tiger Sport 800 was launched worldwide in October 2024 and officially arrived in the Brazilian market in March 2025. It was designed to be an evolution of the Tiger 660 Sport, offering more performance for those seeking a versatile motorcycle for both daily use and travel.

Although visually similar, the two motorcycles have important differences.

Engine: The 800 has an engine with 34 more horsepower and almost 2 kgf.m more torque.
Exhaust: On the 800, the exhaust has a slim shape on the side, while on the 660 it is positioned under the motorcycle.
Front Suspension: The 800 features compression and rebound adjustments, which do not exist on the 660.
Brakes: The 800 comes with J.Juan calipers and aeroquip as standard.
Standard Features: The 800 includes DRL (daytime running light), lower spoiler, and wind deflectors.

The Three-Cylinder Heart: The 115 Horsepower Engine

The standout feature of the Triumph Tiger Sport 800 is its inline three-cylinder engine, with 798 cc and dual overhead camshaft (DOHC). It delivers an impressive 115 horsepower and 8.5 kgf.m of torque.

The combination, mated to a six-speed transmission, ensures immediate throttle response and a power delivery that, according to the test, “the motorcycle goes and the soul stays.”

The Tiger 800 Sport is packed with technology. It features:

Electronic throttle and three riding modes (Sport, Road, and Rain).
Traction control and corner-optimized ABS, both with adjustable levels.
Bidirectional quickshifter as standard, for shifting up and down without using the clutch.
Full LED lighting with DRL.
Cruise control.
Semi-TFT display with Bluetooth connectivity for navigation and music.

Performance And Fuel Consumption In Practice

The Triumph Tiger Sport 800 is a high-performance motorcycle. Its top speed is electronically limited to 234 km/h.

Fuel consumption, according to the evaluation, is a positive point considering the power it offers:

Aggressive Riding: Consumption ranges between 15 and 18 km/l.
Normal Riding: In a more relaxed driving style, the motorcycle can achieve between 20 and 22 km/l.

The Price In 2025 And Points Of Attention

The price of the Triumph Tiger Sport 800 new is R$ 69,190. In the used market, a model from the same year has a FIPE table value of R$ 61,100.

Despite being very complete, the evaluation pointed out that some items are missing. The motorcycle does not come with a USB port to charge the phone or grip heaters, items that could be standard in a model of this category and price.
