Rumo Logística is the largest railway operator in Brazil, offering logistics services for transportation by railways, elevation at ports, and product storage. Currently, its asset base consists of four concessions totaling 12,021 km of railway lines, 1,000 locomotives, and 25,000 wagons, in addition to distribution centers and storage facilities. The railway operator has various job openings available for cities in São Paulo, Mato Grosso do Sul, Paraná, Goiás, and Mato Grosso.

Rumo Raises R$ 6.4 Billion to Accelerate Investments

Rumo has just raised R$ 6.4 billion in a follow-on that positions the largest railway operator in the country to accelerate investment in new projects and prepay concessions. The offer was made at R$ 21.75 per share — a slight drop from the R$ 22 at which the stock was trading before the announcement of the transaction — and the hot issue was partially exercised.

Rumo intends to use the funds to prepay the concession for Malha Paulista — already approved by ANTT — as well as to prepay the concession for Ferrovia Norte-Sul. The prepayment of both concessions generates an annual savings of R$ 700 million for the company.
