Rumo Logística is the largest railway operator in Brazil, offering logistical services for rail transport, port lifting and product storage. Currently, its asset base comprises four concessions, totaling 12.021 km of railway lines, 1.000 locomotives and 25.000 railcars, in addition to distribution centers and storage facilities. Rumo raises BRL 6,4 billion to accelerate investments

Rumo has just raised BRL 6,4 billion in a follow-on that positions the largest railway operator in the country to accelerate investment in new projects and prepay concessions. The offer came out at BRL 21,75/share — one change below the BRL 22 at which the share was trading before the announcement of the transaction — and the hot issue was partially exercised.

Rumo intends to use the resources to prepay the Malha Paulista concession — already approved by ANTT — as well as prepay the North-South Railway concession. The prepayment of both concessions generates annual savings of R$700 million for the company.
