Yamaha Will Also Invest a Significant Amount in the Current Factory in Manaus

Yamaha will invest R$ 110 million in the modernization of its current motorcycle factory in Manaus to improve production efficiency. As a result, it will consequently increase its productive capacity. However, this investment will be directed toward acquiring new equipment and technologies, which will allow the company to optimize its manufacturing processes.

With this initiative, Yamaha reinforces its commitment to the Brazilian market, which is considered one of the most important for the company. Additionally, this initiative will contribute to the generation of new jobs, which is essential for the country’s economy during a recovery period.

Company Is Considering Moving Its Headquarters to São Paulo

In addition to investing in the construction of the new engine factory in Manaus, Yamaha is also planning to move its administrative headquarters. In this regard, the plan is to relocate the headquarters from Guarulhos to the southern zone of São Paulo.

Announced in 2022, the move will be supported by the investment of over half a billion reais, making the structure more modern. Moreover, this structure will be adapted to a hybrid work system and will have greater capacity for agility and innovation to promote its sustainable growth.

The relocation of the administrative headquarters to the capital will also allow Yamaha to be closer to the country’s main business centers, which should facilitate partnerships and the development of new market strategies. Additionally, the city of São Paulo is known for its strong tradition in technology and innovation, which could be an advantage for the company in its search for creative and disruptive solutions.

Japanese Manufacturer Has Been in Brazil Since 1970 and Invests in Various Sectors of Society

It is worth noting that Yamaha has a long history of investments in Brazil. The company began operations in the country in 1970 and has since dedicated itself to expanding its presence in the Brazilian market. Currently, Yamaha is one of the leaders in the motorcycle sector in the country, with a market share of over 25%.

In addition, the company also invests in other areas, such as the production of musical instruments and professional audio equipment. In 2020, Yamaha opened a piano factory in the city of Indaiatuba, in the state of São Paulo, representing an investment of R$ 50 million. Furthermore, this unit is responsible for the production of pianos for the Brazilian market and for export.

With the announcement of this new investment, Yamaha reaffirms its prominent position in the Brazilian market and its contribution to the country’s economy through job creation and modernization of its production infrastructure. Lastly, the company’s initiative also reinforces the importance of the industrial sector in Brazil, which plays a fundamental role in wealth generation and economic development.
