New Factory in Manaus Expects to Start Operating in 2025
Yamaha, a renowned Japanese motorcycle industry company, recently announced an investment of over half a billion reais in Brazil. The investment aims to expand the company’s presence in the Brazilian market and, at the same time, contribute to the country’s economy by creating new jobs.
The projected investments will total R$ 540 million, with R$ 430 million allocated for the construction of a new engine factory in the city of Manaus, the capital of the state of Amazonas. However, this unit will be responsible for the production of motorcycle engines, generating around 200 new direct jobs in the region. The expectation is that the new factory will begin operations in 2025.

Yamaha Will Also Invest a Significant Amount in the Current Factory in Manaus
Yamaha will invest R$ 110 million in the modernization of its current motorcycle factory in Manaus to improve production efficiency. As a result, it will consequently increase its productive capacity. However, this investment will be directed toward acquiring new equipment and technologies, which will allow the company to optimize its manufacturing processes.
