With New Design, Digital Dashboard, and Updated Engine, the New CG 160 2025 Arrives in Four Versions Starting at R$ 16,194; Discover All the Changes.

According to Honda’s static presentation, Brazil’s best-selling vehicle reaches its 10th generation with significant changes. The new CG 160 2025 has been renewed to comply with the new pollutant and noise emission regulations (Promot 5) and brings important updates in design, technology, and cycling, arriving in stores starting in November 2024.

Since its launch in 1976, the Honda CG has sold millions of units, establishing itself as a market phenomenon. For the 2025 line, Honda retained the four already known versions — Cargo, Start, Fan, and Titan — applying improvements that range from the chassis to the dashboard, striving to keep the model in the absolute sales lead in the country.

General Changes for the CG 160 Family

Honda has implemented a series of updates that apply to all four versions of the new CG 160 2025. The chassis, although maintaining the same base, has been resized, resulting in a slightly shorter wheelbase for greater agility. The ground clearance has also increased, thanks to the repositioning of the exhaust.

All versions now feature:

LED Rear Light.

Alloy Wheels (retiring the spoked wheels in the Start version).

Disc Brake on the Front Wheel.

New 100% Digital Dashboard, with tachometer, gear indicator, average and instantaneous consumption, and trips A and B.

New Rear Grab Rails in resin, lighter and more durable.

New Modular Fairings, allowing the replacement of only one side in case of damage.

New Rear Swingarm and new spring set on the suspension.

More Robust Front Suspension, with 33 mm diameter forks.

What Does Each One Offer?

The main difference between the models lies in the trims and some items of technology and safety.

CG 160 Start: the entry-level version now comes with alloy wheels and front disc brake. Its engine is the only one in the line that runs only on gasoline. The dashboard, although digital, does not have a blackout background.

CG 160 Cargo: aimed at work, retains the features of the Start, but comes from the factory with support for top cases and a central stand. Its engine is Flex.

CG 160 Fan: the mid-range version gains a sportier look with distinctive fairings and LED Headlight. The dashboard is of the blackout type, and the motorcycle comes prepared to install a USB-C socket. The rear brake is a drum with CBS system.

CG 160 Titan: the top-of-the-line is the most complete. In addition to all the items from the Fan, it stands out with disc brake on the rear with ABS system on the front wheel, exclusive design alloy wheels, Michelin tires as standard, and USB-C socket already installed.

Technical Specifications and the Updated Engine for the Promot 5

The new Honda CG 160 2025 achieves up to 41 km/l, with a 162cc engine and 14.7 horsepower, reaching a top speed of 130 km/h

The engine of the new CG 160 2025 has been updated to meet the new Promot 5 standards. It remains the same powertrain shared with the Bros, but with adjustments that resulted in a slight loss of power. Honda has maintained the strategy of offering the Start version only on gasoline, while the others (Cargo, Fan, and Titan) are FlexOne.

The Diamond-type chassis has been retained, as well as the suspension travel, with 106 mm at the rear. The weight of the motorcycle had a slight increase, of 2 kg for the Titan and Start versions, and 3 kg for the Fan.

Prices and Arrival at Dealerships of the New CG 160 2025

The new CG 160 2025 begins to arrive at dealerships across Brazil starting in November 2024. The suggested retail prices (based on São Paulo, excluding freight) for each version are:

CG 160 Start: R$ 16,194

CG 160 Cargo: R$ 17,175

CG 160 Fan: R$ 17,723

CG 160 Titan: R$ 19,230

The updates make the motorcycle more modern and safer, especially with the inclusion of disc brakes and alloy wheels in all versions, keeping the CG 160 as a strong competitor in its segment.
