Outsourced Oil Workers Complain That Only Petrobras Employees Are Being Tested for Covid 19 Upon Embarkation, Which May Result in Problems Since Both Are in the Same Unit
Not just one, but several oil workers from outsourced companies providing services to Petrobras have reported to the CPG recently that tests for covid 19 are not being conducted prior to embarkation. Recently, an accommodation unit (Flotel) in the Campos Basin was the target of poorly organized passenger logistics and coronavirus testing, which may have led to a significant issue on the platform.

One of the Most Recent Cases Happened as Follows:
A contracted transportation logistics company made a trip from Rio de Janeiro with two oil workers, one boarded at Macaé airport and the other at Farol de São Tomé serving Petrobras.
The oil worker who boarded from Farol de São Tomé tested positive for covid 19 and did not board, but the other oil worker who was with him during the transportation (on the trip from Rio) boarded from Macaé to the flotel, did not take the test, and ended up going to the unit.

By now, you can imagine the panic of the outsourced oil workers when they learned about this case. Today (02) we can confirm that the oil worker who boarded without taking the test has already disembarked and will undergo tests on land. We do not know how many days it will take for the test results to be ready, but if it comes back positive, the entire unit will go into special contingency.
This serves as a warning to Petrobras and other companies addressing prevention and combat issues aboard the platforms; several oil workers from various units are expressing the same complaint regarding testing upon embarkation and disembarkation of workers. We will not mention the names of the units or individuals here.
