The British Oil Company BP, After Investing R$ 1.47 Billion in Acquisitions, Will Start Its Drilling in the Pre-Salt of the Santos Basin
According to statements from the president of the British oil company BP, the company intends to begin its first exploratory campaign in the Pre-Salt, as operator, between 2021 and 2022.
After spending the last two years acquiring six exploratory blocks in the Campos and Santos basins, four of which are within the pre-salt polygon, where it made investments of R$ 1.47 billion in signature bonuses, the company plans to start drilling in Pau Brasil, in the Santos Basin.

Present in the country since the 1970s, with over 50 years of activity in the energy sector in Brazil, it currently holds 21 concessions in four different Brazilian geological basins, located on land and at sea, being one of the international companies with the largest deep water exploration portfolio in the country.
