Through the partnership, Amazon Web Services (AWS) worked with iFood’s Sustainable Solutions team on a cloud computing education program to offer training and empower vulnerable and/or unemployed individuals to apply for junior or entry-level positions in the sector.
With its Training and Certification team, AWS organized a schedule with preparation sessions, workshops, digital follow-up, and laboratories, as well as practical application of the content. The model offers the necessary knowledge for professionals to begin their journey in the tech job market upon completing the modules.

The program is part of a set of initiatives from iFood to train and employ 25,000 technology professionals by 2026, promoting inclusion and also helping to reduce the labor shortage in the IT sector.
According to a survey by the Brazilian Association of Information Technology and Communication Companies (BRASSCOM) in 2020, Brazil may face a deficit of over 300,000 professionals by 2024.
About the Free Scholarships Offered by Amazon Web Services and iFood in the Technology Course
- Professionals who are already working in the technology sector or who wish to transition their careers.
- The focus of this training is at a fundamental level, making it suitable for sales or marketing professionals, business analysts, project managers, senior executives, and IT-related professionals.

Hurry Up, There’s Still Time! Mercado Livre Offers 1,200 Spots for Technology Course! Secure Your Spot!
The 1,200 scholarships offered by Mercado Livre will include a four-month online immersion, divided into 12 meetings. Participants will learn about digital transformation, problem-solving, UX, business development, and digital marketing.
There will be four classes with 200 spots in total, half of which will be reserved for Black, Brown, and Indigenous girls. Mercado Livre wants to spark interest in technology among girls early on and bring more women into the workforce in the future.
Requirements to compete for the Mercado Livre scholarships: Time and commitment of 7 hours per week and a willingness to learn. No prior knowledge in the area is required to participate, but spots are limited.
