The largest tunnel module factory in the world was built from scratch on a beach in Denmark to produce 89 concrete blocks and will be demolished after the project: each structure weighs up to 10 times the Eiffel Tower and will be installed on the bottom of the Baltic Sea with an accuracy of 12 millimeters in a tunnel that will halve the travel time between Hamburg and Copenhagen.
“Paraná is extremely important for Ambev. Our Ponta Grossa unit is responsible for supplying strategic markets in the South and Southeast, and this investment reinforces our commitment to the State, increasing our production capacity and preparing us for the future,” said Melo.
For Ratinho Junior, Ambev has believed in Paraná for years and this new investment is a great achievement. “We receive it with enthusiasm, coming at a symbolic moment of economic recovery and the start of immunization across the country.
Paraná Has The Most Modern Brewery Of Ambev In Brazil
The Ponta Grossa unit is the most modern of Ambev in Brazil, with 4.0 industry technologies. The factory produces beers like Brahma Duplo Malte, Serramalte, Original, and Budweiser, among others. The increase in production capacity meets the growing demand of Brazilian consumers for malt and premium beers.
In the last decade, Ambev has invested over R$ 1.2 billion in the Ponta Grossa unit. In addition, the company also has a brewery, a soft drink factory, six direct distribution centers, and generates over 17,000 direct, indirect, and induced jobs.
The new investment accompanies the growth of the beverage production sector in the state even during the coronavirus pandemic. According to data from the IBGE (Brazilian Institute of Geography and Statistics), the sector increased by 5.2% between January and December 2020 compared to the same period in 2019.
Furthermore, it is worth noting that Paraná has accumulated seven consecutive months of industrial growth since April.
