Paraná has the most modern Ambev brewery in Brazil
The Ponta Grossa unit is Ambev's most modern in Brazil, with industry 4.0 technologies. The factory produces beers such as Brahma Duplo Malte, Serramalte, Original and Budweiser, among others. The increased production capacity meets the growing demand from Brazilian consumers for pure malt and premium beers.
In the last decade, Ambev invested more than R$ 1,2 billion in the Ponta Grossa unit. In addition, the company also owns a brewery, a soft drink factory, six direct distribution centers and generates more than 17 direct, indirect and induced jobs.
The new investment accompanies the growth of the beverage production sector in the state even during the coronavirus pandemic. According to data from the IBGE (Brazilian Institute of Geography and Statistics), the sector increased by 5,2% between January and December 2020 compared to the same period in 2019.
In addition, it is worth noting that Paraná accumulates seven consecutive months with growth in the industry after April.
