Paraná Has The Most Modern Brewery Of Ambev In Brazil
The Ponta Grossa unit is the most modern of Ambev in Brazil, with 4.0 industry technologies. The factory produces beers like Brahma Duplo Malte, Serramalte, Original, and Budweiser, among others. The increase in production capacity meets the growing demand of Brazilian consumers for malt and premium beers.
In the last decade, Ambev has invested over R$ 1.2 billion in the Ponta Grossa unit. In addition, the company also has a brewery, a soft drink factory, six direct distribution centers, and generates over 17,000 direct, indirect, and induced jobs.
The new investment accompanies the growth of the beverage production sector in the state even during the coronavirus pandemic. According to data from the IBGE (Brazilian Institute of Geography and Statistics), the sector increased by 5.2% between January and December 2020 compared to the same period in 2019.
Furthermore, it is worth noting that Paraná has accumulated seven consecutive months of industrial growth since April.
