Million Donation to the United Against Covid-19 Program of Fiocruz Will Be Destined to an Oxygen Production Plant in Amazonas
Petrobras announced yesterday (01/20) in a relevant fact that the Group Together for Amazonas, formed by 15 multinational and national companies such as Ambev, Coca-Cola, Nestlé, Petrobras, WEG, among others, will support the United Against Covid-19 program of Fiocruz to establish an oxygen production plant capable of serving up to 92 public beds simultaneously in Amazonas.

In light of the serious health crisis faced by Amazonas due to the worsening pandemic of the novel coronavirus, 15 major companies and entities from the country gathered to carry out a solidarity action aimed at supporting the region.
The amount will be allocated to an oxygen production plant, which will support the public hospitals of the state that is experiencing the collapse of the second wave of Covid-19.

The group will make a donation to the United Against Covid-19 program (unidos.fiocruz.br) of the Oswaldo Cruz Foundation (Fiocruz) in the amount of R$ 1.6 million, related to an oxygen production plant that should support the public hospitals in the region.
Major Companies Join Forces to Help Amazonas
According to Petrobras’ statement, up to this point, the Foundation has donated five of these plants, with the support of the private sector.
The group, called Together for Amazonas, includes participation from Ambev, BNP Paribas, BRF, Coca-Cola Brazil, Group +Unidos, Magalu, Mercado Livre, Nestlé Brazil, Petrobras, Sesc, SulAmérica, WEG, Whirlpool, XP Inc., and Yamaha.
This action by these companies has the institutional support of Eletros – National Association of Electro-electronic Product Manufacturers – which helped in the creation of the group.
The companies in the ‘Together for Amazonas’ group will donate resources for the machines and accessories of the new plant, which has one of the most advanced technologies applied to this type of equipment and has the capacity to serve a hospital unit with 12 intensive care beds and 80 hospitalization and emergency care beds simultaneously.
