New Public Contest from ANEEL Will Be Announced Soon, with 191 Vacancies for Candidates with Higher and Secondary Education. The Expectation Is That the Exam Will Reach Still in 2023.

The National Agency of Electric Energy (ANEEL) will have a new public contest authorized still this year. The agency recently confirmed that it will send, in the coming days, a request for authorization for a new exam for filling 191 vacancies in its staff. It is worth noting that the submission must happen by the next day, May 31, so that the hiring can be considered in the federal budget for 2024.

Possible Open Positions in the ANEEL Public Contest 2023

Although ANEEL has not disclosed the distribution of vacancies by position, one can have an idea based on a request made by the agency previously, sent in 2022.

At the time, the request was for 184 vacancies, of which 85 were for those with secondary education and 99 for higher-level positions. All 85 vacancies for secondary education were for the position of Administrative Technician. For higher education, the vacancies were distributed in the positions of Regulatory Specialist, with 54 vacancies, and Administrative Analyst, with 45 vacancies.

The Administrative Technician in the ANEEL contest performs intermediate-level administrative and logistical activities related to the exercise of the constitutional and legal competences of ANEEL.

The Administrative Analyst is responsible for administrative and logistical activities related to the exercise of the constitutional and legal competences of ANEEL, making use of all available equipment and resources to achieve these activities.

The Specialist has specialized activities in regulation, supervision, inspection, and control of the provision of public services and the exploration of electric energy, as well as the use of policies and conducting studies and research related to these activities.

Understand How the Last Public Contest ANEEL Was

The last ANEEL contest was held in 2010, organized by Cespe/UnB, now Cebraspe. At that time, 50,533 candidates registered for the public contest, with the most sought-after position being Administrative Technician – Area 1, with 27,966 registrations.

At that time, the Ministry of Planning (MP) authorized the additional appointment of 73 approved candidates. All positions included a Discursive and Objective Test of a classificatory and eliminatory nature, which were held in 26 state capitals and the Federal District in one day, divided into afternoon and morning shifts. The Specialist and Analyst positions also had a Stage of Title Evaluation, of a classificatory nature.

The objective test consisted of 50 questions of basic knowledge (P1) and 70 of specific knowledge (P2), of the “true or false” type, totaling 120 points. The basic knowledge included Portuguese Language, basic IT concepts, Ethics and Public Conduct, concepts of Administrative and Constitutional Law, and English Language (except for Administrative Technician). The discursive test included two questions to be answered in up to 20 lines each, related to the specific knowledge of the position.

Salaries at ANEEL Can Reach R$ 20 Thousand

The servers of the National Agency of Electric Energy receive excellent salaries, which can reach R$ 20 thousand. To enter the Agency’s careers, it is necessary to take the public contest.

ANEEL has staff in the positions of Administrative Technician, Regulatory Specialist, and Administrative Analyst, in addition to having a staff of 20 Federal Prosecutors. Law 10.871/2004 created the careers and authorized the creation of 365 specialists, 200 technicians, and 200 analysts.

Three public contests have already been held: in 2004, 2006, and the last one in 2010, as mentioned earlier. It is worth highlighting that ANEEL operates with the mission of providing favorable conditions for the electricity market to develop with balance among the agents and for the benefit of society.
