In the Aneel transmission lines auction, 11 lots were sold. BRL 7,3 billion are expected in investments for the next five years
Last Thursday, the National Electric Energy Agency (Aneel) held an energy transmission auction, with 11 undertakings in 9 states of the country. Over the next 5 years, investment is expected to reach R$ 7,3 billion and create 15 new jobs.

Amazonas, Bahia, Ceará, Espírito Santo, Goiás, Mato Grosso do Sul, Minas Gerais, Rio Grande do Sul and São Paulo, were the states that will receive more than 1.958 kilometers of transmission network.
The auction was held at the headquarters of B3, in São Paulo, and attracted the largest companies in the area. All lots were acquired, some of which were strongly contested and with a discount of more than 70% in relation to the maximum remuneration set by the government.

In addition to groups from China, Colombia, Spain, France, Italy and Portugal, 51 companies participated, of which 38 were national.
One of the most prominent consortia is Saint Nicolas I and II, made up of Mez Energia e Participações and Mez Energia Fundo de Investimentos em Participações Infraestrutura. The group bought 5 lots.
Neoenergia also had a good performance and won the second batch of projects, which has the highest investment and has more than a thousand kilometers of transmission lines. The projects in the States of Bahia, Espírito Santo and Minas Gerais are necessary for the expansion of the basic network in the south of the Northeast.
