ANP Recorded A New Wave Of Increases In Fuels. In Some States, It Is Possible To Find Stations Selling Gasoline For Up To R$ 7,236.
According to data from the National Agency of Petroleum, Natural Gas and Biofuels (ANP), in the last week of September, between the 19th and 25th, the average price for gasoline in the country was R$ 6,092. However, in some Brazilian states, it is possible to find the fuel being sold for R$ 7,236 among the more than 4,481 stations analyzed. As for Ethanol, according to the agency, in the last week of September, it recorded an average price of R$ 4,715, but the sugarcane-derived fuel was found at a price of R$ 7,099 among the nearly 4,000 stations surveyed by ANP. The agency’s data shows that diesel prices are also on the rise and were averaging R$ 4,707 between September 19th and 25th.

The Most Expensive Gasoline In Brazil
In the state-by-state survey, the most expensive gasoline in the country is in Piauí, at R$ 6,640. The state with the lowest fuel prices was Amapá, where stations sell gasoline at R$ 5,585. The largest increase in average fuel price is in Rio Grande do Norte, at 3.77% compared to the previous month’s closing.
In no state did fuel prices show a decline in the first days of September, according to ANP. The highest average price for ethanol per liter was in Rio Grande do Sul, at R$ 6,084. The cheapest was sold in São Paulo, at R$ 4,481. In Rondônia, fuel stations recorded the most significant increase in Brazil, at 10.16%.
Petrobras Increases Fuel Prices Again And Truck Drivers Threaten New Strike
On Tuesday (28), the oil company announced that diesel prices for distributors would increase starting Wednesday (29). Thus, the average price at refineries rises from R$ 2.81 to R$ 3.06 per liter, an average readjustment of R$ 0.25 per liter.
At the stations, the price is expected to rise by R$ 0.22 for the final consumer, considering the mandatory mixture of 12% biodiesel and the remaining diesel.
Irani Gomes informed VEJA that the entities do not want to disclose the day of the stoppage to avoid “government intervention,” but that the truck drivers are already “mobilizing to stop.” The mobilization is taking place through a WhatsApp group that brings together the union leaders, including Zé Trovão, who became famous for organizing the September 7 protests and whose preventive detention remains decreed by Supreme Court Minister Alexandre de Moraes. Trovão has not yet spoken in the group, but Gomes believes he will support them soon, as it is an issue of his interest.
