Petrobras published, yesterday (9/17), in a material fact, the call for the exceptional access process to the Pecém Liquefied Natural Gas Regasification Terminal (TR-PECEM) and its associated facilities.

According to the announcement, the process aims to comply with the determination of the Extraordinary Rules Chamber for Hydroenergetic Management (CREG), under the terms of Official Letter No. 14/2021/CREG-MME dated 08/09/2021, that Petrobras enable immediate and simplified access to TR-PECEM to the agent who demonstrates expertise and starts operations in the shortest time, with this requirement being verified through the evidence of FSRU (regasification vessel) availability for docking at the terminal.

Petrobras informs that the contractual model now proposed was designed in an exceptional manner, in the context of the water crisis situation in the country, to meet the determination of CREG.

About the Petrobras Pecém Terminal

TR-PECEM is located at Pier 2 of the Pecém Port in São Gonçalo do Amarante-CE. The maximum regasification capacity of TR-PECEM is 7 million m³/day (@ 1 atm and 20°C).

The pipeline integrated with the terminal has a length of 19.1 km and a diameter of 20 inches, connecting TR-PECEM to the Guamaré-Fortaleza pipeline.

Petrobras Starts the Sale Phase of Deten Química, Located in the Camaçari Industrial Hub in Bahia

In a statement sent to the market this Thursday (9/16), Petrobras informs that it has completed the non-binding phase regarding the sale of its entire 27.88% equity stake in Deten Química, located in the Camaçari industrial hub in Bahia. The company is starting the binding phase of the project today.

The state-owned company has already completed the non-binding phase that began in July. According to Petrobras, potential buyers of the company located in the Camaçari Hub in Bahia who are qualified for this phase will receive an invitation letter with instructions on the divestment process, including guidelines for conducting due diligence and submitting binding proposals.

Deten manufactures and sells the main raw materials for producing biodegradable liquid and powdered detergents. According to Petrobras, the company located in the Camaçari Hub in Bahia is the only national producer of Linear Alkylbenzene (LAB), a precursor of Linear Alkylbenzene Sulfonate (LABSA), of which it is also a manufacturer and acts as an active component of dishwashing detergent. The company also produces Heavy Alkylate (ALP), used in lubricant additives and textile oil.

Petrobras emphasizes that the sale operation of the company located in the Camaçari Hub in Bahia is aligned with the strategy for portfolio optimization and improved capital allocation of the company, aiming to maximize value.
