Petrobras published, yesterday (17/9), in a material fact, the call for exceptional access to the Pecém Liquefied Natural Gas Regasification Terminal, in Ceará (TR-PECEM), and its associated facilities.

According to the statement, the process aims to comply with the determination of the Chamber of Exceptional Rules for Hydroenergetic Management (CREG), pursuant to Official Letter No. 14/2021/CREG-MME of 09/08/2021, that Petrobras provides immediate and simplified access to the TR-PECEM to the agent who proves expertise and starts the operation in a shorter period of time, this requirement being verified through proof of availability of FSRU (regasifier vessel) for mooring to the terminal.
Petrobras informs that the contractual model now proposed was conceived on an exceptional basis, in the context of the water crisis situation in the country, to comply with CREG's determination.
Leasing process for the LNG Regasification Terminal in Bahia is in the final stage

About Petrobras' Pecem terminal
TR-PECEM is located at Pier 2 of Porto do Pecém, in São Gonçalo do Amarante-CE. The maximum regasification flow of TR-PECEM is 7 million m³/d (@ 1 atm and 20°C).

Petrobras begins the sale phase of Deten Química, located in the Camaçari Industrial Complex, in Bahia
In a statement sent to the market this Thursday (16/09), Petrobras informs that it has concluded the non-binding phase related to the sale of its entire 27,88% stake in Deten Química, located in the industrial complex of Camaçari, in the state of Bahia. The company is starting today the binding phase of the project.
The state-owned company has already completed the non-binding phase that began in July. According to Petrobras, potential buyers of the company located in the Camaçari Complex, in the state of Bahia, qualified for this phase will receive an invitation letter with instructions on the divestment process, including guidelines for carrying out due diligence and for submitting binding proposals.
Deten manufactures and markets the main raw materials for the production of liquid and powder biodegradable detergents. According to Petrobras, the company located in the Camaçari Complex, in the state of Bahia, is the only national producer of Linear Alkylbenzene (LAB), a precursor to Acido Linear Alkylbenzene Sulfonate (LABSA), which it also manufactures and which acts as an active component in domestic dishwashing detergent. The company also produces Heavy Alkylate (ALP), used in lubricant additives and textile oil.
Petrobras reinforces that the sale operation of the company located in the Camaçari Complex, in the state of Bahia, is in line with the strategy of optimizing the portfolio and improving the allocation of the company's capital, with a view to maximizing value.
