To Participate in the Program, Companies Must Be Active and Based in Pernambuco; Regularly Registered in the New General Employment and Unemployment Registration
Unemployment Hits Record High in Pernambuco. In an effort to reverse the situation, the state government launched yesterday (22), at the Palácio do Campo das Princesas, the new incentives program for job creation in Pernambuco – Emprego PE. The expectation is that 20 thousand job vacancies will be available by the end of this year.

The initiative comes after the result of the latest estimate from IBGE, published at the end of last month, which indicated an unemployment rate of 21.6%, the worst in the country.
“Companies must maintain the current workforce and generate new jobs through the program; they cannot reduce the workforce. The benefit will be R$ 550 paid monthly for each employee, and each entrepreneur can generate up to 30 jobs,” it was said.

Program Promises to Generate 20 Thousand Job Vacancies in Pernambuco
The action is part of the Recovery Plan and aims to mitigate the economic impacts caused by Covid-19. The measure provides that the State Government will pay, for six months, half of a minimum wage (R$ 550) for each new worker hired by Pernambuco companies, which can receive the benefit for up to 30 new job vacancies created.
To participate in the program, companies must be active and based in Pernambuco; regularly registered in the New General Employment and Unemployment Registration (Novo Caged); and have started their activities at least one year before the date of publication of this law.
It is also necessary that these companies have not reduced the number of employment links, nor have they suspended employment contracts, nor reduced work hours and wages after the publication of the document.
Registration
Participation in Emprego PE will occur exclusively through the portal HERE. On the platform, the company’s registration and document submission will be carried out, and from the availability of job vacancies, the registration and submission of employee(s) documentation.
The subsidy payment will be made by the 15th of each month, to the current account or savings account of the company’s legal entity. The program will be operational between October 2021 and July 2022.
