Asia Shipping Acquires Hórus Logística, Strengthening Storage Solutions and Integration of Various Modes with RFID and WMS Technologies.
Asia Shipping recently announced its newest expansion strategy with the acquisition of Hórus Logística, strengthening its presence in the logistics sector. This acquisition aims to enhance storage services and expand the capacity for integrating various modes, utilizing modern technologies such as RFID and the WMS system. With this initiative, the company solidifies its position as a leading logistics integrator in Latin America, broadening the range of solutions for its clients.
With the incorporation of Hórus Logística, inventory management becomes one of the main focuses, aiming to optimize the entire supply chain. The movement of goods is also another essential point that is expected to gain greater efficiency with the use of advanced technologies. The Santa Catarina-based company will add value by providing cross-docking services and expanding its inventory capabilities. This strategic expansion not only broadens the service offering but also boosts operational efficiency through cutting-edge technology.
The Strategic Expansion of Logistics
The company’s growth strategy finds solid foundations in expanding its operation in complete logistics, encompassing all stages of the supply chain, from storage to inventory management and cargo movement. Technological integration is a key pillar in this process, employing RFID tracking, warehouse management software (WMS), and Power BI to optimize operations and provide valuable insights.

A R$ 300 million logistics giant is taking shape in Serra with over 100,000 m² and raises a question: how can this transform e-commerce and distribution in the state?
In addition to optimizing the integration of various modes important for import and export processes, the company now stands out as a significant distribution center, covering an area of over 12,000 square meters. This movement represents a significant expansion in the logistics segment. The company prides itself on being the first national company to offer a complete supply chain coverage, as Alexandre Pimenta, CEO of Asia Shipping, highlights.
Advances in Cross-Docking and Logistics Efficiency
The recent acquisition reinforces the company’s initiatives aimed at innovation and growth. In April of this year, Asia Shipping had already announced the purchase of Dati, an advanced cloud-based AI platform designed to optimize comex operations, providing visibility and automation in nearly 90% of logistical processes. This solution spans from order to delivery, optimizing the movement of goods.
With the incorporation of Hórus, the company started offering cross-docking services, essential for reducing storage time and associated costs, especially serving time-sensitive goods and high-turnover products. This method facilitates efficient and quick transfer of goods to the customer, ensuring that they are not stored for unnecessary periods.
Inventory Management and Complete Operations
Among the new services provided by Asia Shipping, Alexandre Pimenta emphasizes the importance of inventory management at the two operational units of Hórus Logística, located in Itajaí and Araquari, both in Santa Catarina. This step is critical for the success of logistics operations.
The implementation of solutions such as RFID tracking and WMS ensures precise inventory control, providing total visibility and real-time updates in real-time, thus avoiding losses or excess products. Rafael Dantas, commercial director of Asia Shipping, reinforces that the acquisition strengthens the company’s expansion plans, which already operates in 12 countries, with 41 offices, ten of them in Brazil.
Logistical Solutions and Tax Reform
The impending tax reform requires importers to explore alternatives that ensure competitiveness. Asia Shipping intends to lead the market with innovative solutions, adopting a model based on the North American market, integrating the perspective of a freight forwarder with that of a complete logistics provider. This approach will allow for a clearer view of customers’ logistical needs, strengthening the company’s commitment to a more strategic and efficient service.
Exponential Growth of Hórus Logística
The choice of Hórus Logística was strategic, considering its significant growth and the experience of its founders in the logistics and storage sector. With operations starting only a year ago, the Santa Catarina-based company already shows impressive growth. Its headquarters in Itajaí and Araquari are strategically positioned near ports that handle substantial volumes of Brazilian foreign trade.
The company, which already has 30 employees, plans to expand with new units in Paraná and São Paulo, further increasing its capacity and market coverage. Silvio Fernandes, CEO of Hórus Logística, states that proximity to customer service and the incorporation of technology were crucial for the company’s rapid growth.
Furthermore, the partnership with Asia Shipping brings additional strength to the company’s expansion. The opening of a new branch in São José dos Pinhais (PR) is already scheduled for this year, and plans for 2025 include the establishment of operations in the State of São Paulo, ensuring continuous and sustainable growth.
