The BAJAJ DOMINAR 400 2025 Arrives With Minor Updates, Keeping The 40-Horsepower Engine And The Complete Accessory Package That Made It A Cost-Effective Phenomenon In The Brazilian Market.

The BAJAJ DOMINAR 400 2025 continues to establish itself as one of the most recognized and competitive motorcycles in its category in Brazil. The model, which arrived in the country at the end of 2022, quickly gained fame for offering a performance and equipment package greater than average, for a very aggressive price.

According to a comprehensive evaluation of the 2025 model, conducted in partnership with the dealership Bajaj and owner Alex Silva, the bike maintains its main qualities. The analysis reveals the minor but important changes for the new line and confirms why the Dominar 400 has become such a strong option for those seeking a versatile and complete “sport touring” motorcycle.

Dominar 400: From India To Brazil

Bajaj Auto is an Indian giant, recognized as the third largest motorcycle manufacturer in the world. The company launched the Dominar 400 in Brazil in late 2022, as part of its global expansion strategy.

A milestone for the Brazilian operation was the inauguration of the Bajaj factory in Manaus, in June 2024. The unit solidified the brand’s presence in the country and ensured local production of models like the Dominar 400, as well as its smaller siblings, the Dominar 160 and 200, and the newly launched Dominar 250.

What Changes In The Bajaj Dominar 400 2025?

The New Bajaj Dominar 400 Achieves Up To 28 km/l, With A 373cc Engine And 40 Horsepower, And Reaches A Top Speed Of 172 km/h

The BAJAJ DOMINAR 400 2025 is essentially the same successful bike, but with two main updates. The first is the offer of new colors, such as “Aurora Green” (green).

The second, and more important, is a technical change in the engine. The previous version had three spark plugs. The 2025 model now comes with only one spark plug. According to the analysis, this change does not affect performance, but was made to reduce maintenance costs for the Brazilian owner.

The Heart Of The Bike: The 40-Horsepower Engine

The engine of the Dominar 400 is a single-cylinder with dual overhead camshaft (DOHC), 4 valves, 373.2 cc, and liquid cooling. It delivers 40 horsepower and a torque of 3.56 kgf.m.

The set works with a six-speed transmission and a slipper and assisted clutch, which prevents rear wheel lock during hard downshifts and makes the lever engagement lighter.

Performance In Practice: Fuel Consumption And Top Speed

The BAJAJ DOMINAR 400 2025 is a bike with good performance and balanced consumption. The test evaluation showed that the top speed is electronically limited to 172 km/h, a mark that the motorcycle reaches with ease.

Fuel consumption varies with riding style:

  • Aggressive Riding: Consumption ranges between 18 and 22 km/l.
  • Normal Riding: At a more relaxed pace, the bike can achieve between 25 and 28 km/l.

The Impressive Factory Equipment Package

One of the biggest assets of the BAJAJ DOMINAR 400 2025 is its list of standard equipment. The motorcycle already comes factory-equipped with:

  • Inverted front suspension;
  • Disc brakes with ABS system on both wheels;
  • Full LED lighting;
  • High windshield;
  • Hand, engine, and crash protection guards;
  • Luggage rack with backrest for the passenger (sissy bar);
  • Dual LCD panel and USB port.

The Price In 2025: How Much Does The Dominar 400 Cost?

YouTube Video

The price of the BAJAJ DOMINAR 400 2025 continues to be its main selling point. The price of a new unit is R$ 25,500 (an increase of only R$ 10 compared to the previous model), not including shipping.

Despite being very complete, the test pointed out some negative points, such as the characteristic vibration of the single-cylinder engine, the somewhat hard passenger seat, and the lack of a center stand that could come as standard. Even so, the motorcycle establishes itself as one of the best cost-benefit ratios in the market.
