Government Starts Public Consultation on the Auction and Details the Next Steps of the Energy Storage Strategy

Minister Alexandre Silveira confirmed on November 7, 2025, the opening of the public consultation for the battery auction.
The iNFRA Agency officially disclosed the information.
The government emphasized that the country has made rapid advances in winds and solar generation.
However, these sources are intermittent and require storage solutions to ensure stability.
For this reason, as Silveira explained, the bid will begin to be structured still in 2025.
The auction is scheduled to take place in 2026.
