Company Develops Folding Electric Bike With Various Technologies. The Model Is Equipped With a 750W Motor and Its Structure Is Made of Magnesium.
The e-Bike manufacturer Heybike has gained attention for developing and manufacturing compact and affordable electric bike models. The brand manages to offer well-equipped options at more accessible prices in the market by sourcing its components directly from China. The spotlight now goes to the Tyson model, a folding electric bike with a magnesium structure and a very powerful motor.
Folding Electric Bike With Magnesium Structure Offers 90 km of Range
The model will be officially presented at CES 2023 in Las Vegas as the first of its class equipped with a more powerful 750 watt motor. According to William Li, co-founder of the manufacturer, the company is very excited to launch the vehicle during the event, one of the most important in the world.
The company designed this product to provide cyclists with the utmost in terms of aesthetics and convenience. As previously mentioned, the frame of the folding electric bike is made from a single piece of magnesium alloy.

The result is a vehicle weighing about 35 kg, lighter and more durable. The folding monocoque allows the bike to fit into even small spaces, and the Heybike Tyson uses an electric motor mounted in the hub with a thumb throttle. In addition to having five levels of pedal assistance, the folding electric bike comes with a digital instrument panel that can be connected to a phone using the Heybike Connect app.
The range also does not disappoint: 90 km per charge. The model is powered by a 48V and 15 Ah battery, embedded in the bike’s structure.
Model Has Capacity to Carry About 55 kg
Other items equipped on the folding electric bike with a magnesium structure include a robust rear rack that can support nearly 55 kg of cargo, and wide 20×4 inch (10.16 cm) tires that make it possible to traverse any type of terrain.
Last but not least, the model also features hydraulic disc brakes. The company has not yet disclosed information such as pricing and availability, but the expectation is that these will be revealed during the official showcase at CES, scheduled for this Friday, January 6. It is expected that, in addition to Heybike, several manufacturers will present new electric vehicles and smart systems at the largest technology fair on the planet, which takes place from January 5 to 8.
New Electric Bikes Arrive on the Market
In addition to this folding electric bike with a magnesium structure, several other models are arriving on the market, such as the HovAlpha from HOVSCO. The vehicle is super inexpensive yet robust, designed to handle any type of trail.
With its thick 26-inch tires, the bike has a much easier time navigating through sand and mud. Although it is affordable, it comes with an excellent configuration, being equipped with an electric motor from the Chinese company Bafang that generates 750 watts and a peak power of 1,032 W, which is enough to easily conquer steep routes.
The model can reach 45 km/h and its battery has a capacity of 960 Wh integrated into the down tube, a detail that hides the component and does not interfere with the model’s design.
According to the company, this configuration has a range of 130 km on just one charge, a figure significantly higher than the market averages. It is important to note that the model is being sold for R$ 10,640.
