BMW presents the perfect solution for young people looking for an urban transport option: the BMW CE 02, an electric motorcycle designed especially for the new generations. Unlike conventional BMW Motorrad models, which are large and heavy, the CE 02 has a style similar to the scooters that have gained popularity on the streets of Brazil. Its compact design was inspired by parkour, a sport that involves overcoming urban obstacles, resulting in an agile and practical motorcycle.
Innovative Design And Lightness Of The New Electric Motorcycle
The BMW CE 02 features a slim and floating-looking seat that ends before the rear wheel, where the motor is located. The rear wheel appears to float, with its structural connection hidden in the fairing and its link to the propulsor made by toothed belts. This design approach results in material savings and contributes to the lightness of the electric motorcycle, which ranges between 119 and 132 kg.
The design of the BMW CE 02 stands out for its colors and details. The bronze forks contrast with the tricolor combination of black, white, and light blue, giving it a modern and attractive look.

Power And Performance Offered By The Motorcycle
The BMW CE 02 offers different power versions. The more powerful versions have a 15 hp engine with 5.6 kgfm, reaching a top speed of 95 km/h and a range of 90 km. In sport mode, it can accelerate from 0 to 50 km/h in just 3 seconds. The electric motorcycle offers three riding modes, allowing the rider to adjust its performance according to their preferences.
The gentler variant of the BMW CE 02 is also noteworthy, with power limited to 5.4 hp and the same torque, achieving a top speed of 45 km/h. This configuration allows the electric motorcycle to be classified as a moped under Brazilian legislation, exempting certain requirements such as illuminated rear license plate, red brake light, and turn signals.
Advanced Technology Of The New Electric Motorcycle And Its Expected Launch In Brazil
The BMW CE 02 offers technological features such as a 3.5″ digital instrument panel, USB-C port, and ABS braking system on the front wheel. An interesting accessory is the ConnectRide Smartglasses, an augmented reality glasses that project information directly into the rider’s view, such as GPS and data from the electric motorcycle.
BMW is evaluating the possibility of launching its new electric motorcycle in Brazil, but there is still no official confirmation. If made available in the Brazilian market, it is expected that the ConnectRide will also be available as an optional accessory.
