Projections Indicate an Increase of About 37% Over 2024, With Revenue Above US$ 18 Billion, Almost 4 Million Tons Exported, Strong Demand from China, Recovery of the United States, and Rise in Average Prices of Brazilian Beef in 2025

Brazilian beef exports are expected to exceed US$ 18 billion in 2025, with growth of around 37% compared to 2024, driven by nearly 4 million tons shipped and the expansion of sales to China and other strategic markets.

The Brazilian beef sector, the world’s largest exporter, is expected to set new records for volume and revenue in 2025, surpassing historical highs from the previous year, according to projections released by the Brazilian Association of Meat Packers.

The estimates indicate an approximate increase of US$ 5 billion compared to the revenue of 2024, which totaled US$ 13.135 billion, an increase equivalent to about 37%, reflecting the consistent expansion of international demand for Brazilian protein.

Market Expansion and Recovery of the United States

The association highlights the importance of exports to China and the growth of markets such as Mexico, Russia, the European Union, and Chile, along with the recovery of purchases by the United States after the removal of tariffs in November.

Total shipments in 2025 are expected to approach 4 million tons, surpassing the 3.19 million recorded in 2024, a movement associated with the greater competitiveness of Brazilian products and the diversification of trade destinations.

From January to November, export revenue has already reached US$ 16.530 billion, a 37.5% increase, with a volume of 3.510 million tons, a 19% growth compared to the same period the previous year, according to data released.

China Concentrates Half of Brazilian Exports

Sales to China grew 48% by November 2025 compared to the first 11 months of the previous year, totaling US$ 8.029 billion, about half of all beef exported by Brazil.

Shipments to the Chinese market amounted to 1.499 million tons, an increase of 23.65%, raising the share of fresh beef destined for China to 54% of total exports, compared to 51% in the same previous period.

The average export values of fresh beef to China rose 19.5% in 2025, reaching US$ 5,355 per ton on average from January to November, according to figures presented by the entity.

According to the association, the price increase reflects the rise in the price of fat cattle in Brazil, influenced by changes in the livestock cycle, indicating a more restricted supply of raw materials and higher prices in the following year.
