R$ 2 Billion Allocated to Boost Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises
The Brazil More Productive program is set to mark a new era in the Brazilian industry. With a significant investment of R$ 2 billion, the goal is to involve around 200,000 micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) in a coordinated effort to improve productivity and competitiveness in the national landscape. This initiative, led by the Ministry of Development, Industry, Commerce, and Services (MDIC), in collaboration with various strategic institutions such as ABDI, BNDES, Finep, Embrapii, SENAI, and Sebrae, represents a significant step towards the industrial development of the country.
Ricardo Alban, president of the National Confederation of Industry (CNI), highlights the relevance of the program. He emphasizes that increasing productivity and accelerating digital transformation in Brazilian industries are crucial steps to strengthen the national economy.
Importance of MSMEs in the Industrial Landscape
MSMEs play a fundamental role in the Brazilian economy, representing 81% of the total industrial companies and accounting for 39% of formal employment. Alban emphasizes the need to invest in measures that enhance energy efficiency and promote the digitalization of these companies. This approach not only elevates competitiveness in the global market but also contributes to sustainable practices, aiding in the fight against global warming.

Strategic Partnerships for Growth

Alban stresses that SENAI, in particular, plays a crucial role in boosting productivity and competitiveness in the Brazilian industry. SENAI and Sebrae will work together to provide companies access to established techniques and innovative methods, ensuring they are at the forefront of efficiency and innovation.
Details of the Brazil More Productive Program
The program aims to digitally engage 200,000 industries by 2027. A platform developed by SENAI will facilitate access to materials, courses, and tools on productivity and digital transformation, essential for the continuous growth of companies.
SENAI and Sebrae will work together to identify the best methodologies for each company, including consulting on lean manufacturing and energy efficiency, workforce reskilling, and smart factory projects. This integrated approach aims for a comprehensive journey of knowledge, from management planning to the implementation of productivity and digitalization practices.
The Future of Digital Transformation
Initially, a diagnosis of the digital maturity of companies will be conducted, followed by the development of customized projects and financing solutions. Monitoring the implementation of smart industrial technologies will be a crucial aspect of the program.
Starting in January 2024, interested companies will be able to apply for the Brazil More Productive program through the MDIC website, benefiting from four service modalities, ranging from access to the productivity platform to comprehensive digital transformation plans.
Multimedia Support and Access to Information
In addition, the Industry Media Bank offers free multimedia resources such as videos, photos, and infographics on various industry-related topics. This provides companies and the general public with easy and informative access to the latest news and developments in the industrial sector.
This ambitious program not only promises to enhance the productivity and competitiveness of Brazilian MSMEs but also puts Brazil on a promising path towards a more dynamic and sustainable industrial future.
