Simulation Shows That, With R$ 50 Thousand Initial and Monthly Contributions of R$ 1,000, It Is Possible to Accumulate Over R$ 400 Thousand in 10 Years in Nubank’s Boxes, Even With Tax Deductions.

Investing consistently and letting time work can make a huge difference in the future. This is demonstrated by a simulation with Nubank’s boxes, which have a return of 100% of the CDI.

With an initial investment of R$ 50 thousand and monthly contributions of R$ 1,000 for 10 years, the result is impressive: over R$ 400 thousand accumulated.

Initial Investment and Monthly Contributions

In the presented simulation, the starting point is a one-time deposit of R$ 50,000.00.

From then on, every month, the investor contributes an additional R$ 1,000.00. This process is repeated for 10 years, totaling 120 months.

At the end of this period, the total amount of money that came directly from the investor’s pocket was R$ 170,000.00. This includes the initial R$ 50 thousand plus the R$ 1 thousand contributed monthly over the decade.

The Impact of Compound Interest

The significant difference in the final result comes from compound interest.

At the time of recording the simulation, the CDI rate was 14.65% per year, or 1.15% per month.

With this yield, the money grows not only on the initial amount but also on the earnings themselves.

In the first month, the R$ 50 thousand invested earned R$ 572.00.

In the second month, the investment was no longer R$ 50 thousand, but R$ 50,572.00, which generated a slightly higher yield of around R$ 574.00.

This process of continuous growth of the calculation base is what defines compound interest: the profitability of profitability.

Over time, this snowball effect intensifies. Even without making significant changes to the contribution amounts, the growth accelerates as the months go by.

This occurs because each new return adds to the total that will again earn interest the following month.

Gross Total and Impact of Taxes

After 10 years, the total accumulated amount reaches R$ 451,408.00. This figure is composed of the R$ 170 thousand invested and an additional R$ 281,408.00 in gross interest accumulated over the decade.

However, this earning has income tax applied, which in this case is 15%. The amount withheld automatically by the government is R$ 42,211.00.

After the deduction, the net amount of earnings is R$ 239,196.00. Adding this amount to the invested capital, the final total available in the investor’s account after 10 years is R$ 409,196.00.

Monthly Passive Income

One of the most highlighted points in the simulation is the possibility of living off income with the accumulated amount. With R$ 409,196.00 invested in Nubank’s boxes, yielding 1.15% per month, the monthly return would be approximately R$ 4,600.00.

This amount could be withdrawn every month, without the need for new contributions. And, as the money remains invested, it would continue to generate earnings on the total.

This means that the investor would have a source of passive income, without having to work directly to generate these R$ 4,600.00 monthly. And with daily liquidity, allowing for the withdrawal of the amount at any time if needed.

The Role of Discipline

The example presented reinforces the importance of discipline in the investing process. The idea of starting with a substantial initial amount and making small monthly contributions shows that with consistency, it is possible to accumulate a good amount of wealth.

Moreover, time is also an ally. Even if the gains seem small at the beginning, they grow as the months go by. Compound interest accelerates the process and makes the capital multiply more forcefully in the final stretch.

Long-Term Planning

The main message of the simulation is that the 10 years will pass, regardless of what is done with the money today. For those who choose to invest regularly, the future can be more peaceful, with a reserve capable of generating monthly income.

Even those who do not understand much about investments can benefit from this kind of strategy. Nubank’s boxes are accessible, allow flexible contributions, and have daily liquidity, making it easy to monitor and withdraw the amounts.

At the end of 10 years, the R$ 170 thousand invested becomes R$ 409,196.00 net, already with the tax deducted. This amount alone is capable of generating a monthly income of around R$ 4,600.00, solely from the interest of the investment. This demonstrates the potential of a simple yet consistent long-term investment plan.

Mascarando a inflação real
