Investments in Ibiapaba Mountain Range:
Casa dos Ventos will also invest in wind generation projects in other municipalities of Ibiapaba, which include Guaraciaba do Norte, Viçosa, Ibiapina, and Poranga. The company may also implement wind projects in the interior of Rio Grande do Norte and Bahia.
“In Ceará, the best wind banks, with more consistent speeds, are located in the Ibiapaba Mountain Range. But it is in the semi-arid regions of Rio Grande do Norte and the interior of Bahia that the best winds in the country are found, those with the best characteristics for wind energy generation, and this is the only reason for Casa dos Ventos’ investments to be in those two states,” says a source linked to the state government of Ceará.
