Among the free courses offered in the state are: Gastronomy, Digital Game Programming, and Computer Networks. Each technical course lasts up to two years.

The vacancies are aimed at those who have completed their regular high school education in any school network, as well as students from Youth and Adult Education (EJA) and the State Center for Education of Youth and Adults (Ceeja). Individuals who are currently in their third year of high school can also apply for the vacancies.

According to Tyago Hoffmann, Secretary of Science, Technology, Innovation, Professional Education, and Economic Development of the State (Sectides), the purpose of the free courses is to expand entrepreneurship and generate job opportunities for the population of ES.

Moreover, state authorities believe that the best way to reduce social inequality is through education, both basic and professional. Hoffmann states that, with the end of the pandemic, this focus will be increasingly prioritized.
