Solar Energy Market in Brazil
Solar energy is already the second-largest energy source in Brazil, and its capacity in the first half of this year surpassed all of 2022’s results. Solar energy is the production of energy generated from sunlight. And the result of this formula is savings.
This type of source, generated on-site, is called distributed. Of the 5,568 municipalities in the country, it is present in 5,530 – 99% of the Brazilian territory. Another way to take advantage of sunlight is to install panels on the ground, whether in urban lots or rural areas.
In the case shown, there are 12,000 panels that will eliminate the electricity bill of the industry making the investment. And what remains becomes credit for other small and medium-sized enterprises. The cable factory has a production line full of electrical equipment. The bill will be eliminated with just 40% of what the solar plant next to the company will produce.
