The Cesari logistics and cargo transport services group took over ConPort Afretamentos Marítimos and now expands its operations at its terminal connected to the Port of Santos with even more infrastructure and a broad portfolio of services to offer.

After assuming its new corporate name, Comportce Companhia Portuária Cesari Ltda., last Thursday (14/07), Grupo Cesari also assumed control of ConPort Afretamentos Marítimos and now expands its portfolio of services in its terminal close to the Port of Santos, located in the state of São Paulo. The company now has a larger area for cargo storage and an even larger infrastructure to be offered in logistical services.

ConPort Afretamentos Marítimos is taken over by the logistics company Cesari, which now seeks to expand its presence and service offering in the Port of Santos

The Brazilian port sector is increasingly busy and, during this last week, witnessed a new movement of the logistics and cargo transport group Cesari, which took over the company ConPort Afretamentos Marítimos. The company assumed its new corporate name, Comportce Companhia Portuária Cesari Ltda., and also had a gain in the service portfolio of the maritime charter company in its operations in the Port of Santos.

ConPort Afretamentos Marítimos operated in the transport and storage of solid bulk in the Port of Santos and, upon taking over the company, Cesari intends to expand its portfolio of services in its terminal in the region, Terminal Logístico Cesari Ltda. (Terlock).

In addition to taking control of ConPort Afretamentos Marítimos, Cesari's new corporate name allows it to integrate with the other companies of the Cesari group and manage to cover even more services at the terminal in the Port of Santos region.

Among the new services and expansions that will take place at the port terminal in São Paulo, the main one is the capacity of 120 thousand tons of storage space for ash and/or sodium sulfate.

The terminal already has a structure for the storage of around 750 thousand tons of solid bulk, in an area of more than 2 million square meters, strategically located in Cubatão (SP), almost 26 km from the Port of Santos, and will be able to further expand these services with a focus on specific loads.

Former partner at ConPort Afretamentos Marítimos comments on the importance of Cesari's management for the expansion of logistics services

The entire acquisition process of ConPort Afretamentos Marítimos by Cesari will be essential for an expansion in the presence of companies in the sector port and the founder and former partner of ConPort, Paulo Converso, highlighted: “With the acquisition by the Cesari Group, it will be possible to build new opportunities for the Brazilian market. This is because there is an excellent match between ConPort's expertise and the Cesari group's national market strategy. This is a huge opportunity for her and her existing clients.”

The representative also commented that, over the last few years, the national port sector has seen a great dynamization in the type of services offered by companies and, with this new administration, ConPort Afretamentos Marítimos will be able to accelerate these investments in innovation and contribute even more to a expansion in this segment.
