New Era in the Brazilian Automotive Market
More and more Brazilian drivers are leaving sedan models behind to invest in larger and more comfortable vehicles for the family. Although sedans like Chevrolet Onix Plus, Fiat Cronos, and Hyundai HB20S are still popular, the automotive market is entering a new era, where larger models like SUVs are seen more frequently on Brazil’s roads.
To keep the prices of the basic versions of the Citroën Basalt SUV in the average range, without drastic changes, Citroën is expected to focus on simpler elements and accessories, such as steel wheels with hubcaps, manual windows in the rear doors, and an instrument panel similar to that of the C3 model.
The new Citroën Basalt is part of the program that develops compact SUVs, the C-Cubed Program. The price of the Citroën Basalt SUV upon arriving in Brazil could be between R$ 90 thousand and R$ 100 thousand, a very good price that will compete with the sedans mentioned above. In addition to SUV models, pickups and other body style models have also gained space in the market, further strengthening the idea that the current scenario of the automotive market is undergoing a revolution.
