The New Nissin Factory in Ponta Grossa Brings Together Billion-Dollar Investment, Industrial Expansion, and Focus on Exports, Strengthening the Food Sector in Paraná and Increasing Job Creation in the Region.
The construction of the new R$ 1 billion Nissin Foods factory in Ponta Grossa, in the Campos Gerais of Paraná, is already boosting the local economy and reinforcing the industrial profile of the region.
The complex, designed to have 68,200 square meters of built area and generate about 550 direct jobs, will be dedicated to the production of instant noodles in packages and Cup Noodles, with part of the manufacturing aimed at exports to other markets.
Located on a plot of 413,200 square meters alongside PR-151, at km 164, between Ponta Grossa and Castro, the facility is part of the Japanese multinational’s expansion plans in Brazil.

How investment in technology can revolutionize the national economy and enhance industrial gains, according to a study that highlights the direct impact on productivity, innovation, and wealth retention within Brazil.
The completion of the construction is scheduled for April 2027, by which time the plant is expected to start full operations and solidify the municipality as one of the key logistics hubs for the food sector in the South of the country.
Production of Instant Noodles and Cup Noodles
The new industrial line of Nissin has been designed to increase production capacity of the traditional instant noodles in packages and the cup version, Cup Noodles, a brand already established among Brazilian consumers.
The expectation is that the factory will serve not only the domestic market but also function as a base for sending products to other countries in Latin America.

With the start of operations, Ponta Grossa increases its share in the processed food supply chain and strengthens its presence in a segment of mass consumption with high turnover in supermarket shelves.
The combination of large-scale production, variety of flavors, and integrated logistics is seen as one of the factors that should sustain the plant’s competitiveness in the medium and long term.
Construction Schedule and Size of the Industrial Complex
Construction is progressing at a pace considered suitable by the project’s managers.
The schedule foresees the completion of the main structure by April 2027, including production areas, storage, utilities, security, and administrative support.
In total, there will be 68,200 m² of built area within a plot of 413,200 m², allowing for future expansions without the need for relocation.
This scale places the facility among the largest recent industrial ventures in the region, both in terms of investment volume and physical size.
The available area also allows for the installation of new equipment, additional lines, or distribution centers, should the company decide to expand its presence in the Brazilian market and other countries.
Direct Jobs, Training, and Social Impact

The project foresees the creation of at least 550 direct jobs, with the potential to exceed this number as the plant reaches its maximum production capacity.
In addition to formal positions within the factory, the construction and operation are expected to stimulate indirect jobs in outsourced services, transportation, maintenance, food, and local commerce.
The installation of the facility is accompanied by actions for workforce training, in partnership with the government of Paraná through professional qualification programs.
The outlook is for part of the workers to be specifically trained to work on the production lines and in technical areas related to the food industry, contributing to raising the level of specialization in the Campos Gerais region.
Paraná Competitive and Attraction of Investments
Nissin’s investment is part of the Paraná Competitive program, an initiative of the State Government aimed at attracting companies through tax incentives and support for the implementation of industrial projects.
In the past six years, the program has accumulated over R$ 57 billion in private investments and 467 contracts signed, consolidating Paraná as one of the states with the most favorable environment for new businesses.
In the case of Nissin Foods, state support involves both the granting of tax benefits and coordination with infrastructure agencies, professional training, and regional development.
The presence of a global group as large as Nissin is seen by local authorities as an indicator of Paraná’s capability to compete for investments with other states and countries.
Ponta Grossa as an Industrial and Logistic Hub

The choice of Ponta Grossa as the site for the new facility reinforces the municipality’s position as one of the main industrial hubs in Paraná.
The city already concentrates relevant enterprises in the food, paper and cellulose, tire, beverage, and logistics sectors, among others.
The location along PR-151, with connections to major highways, facilitates the flow of goods to other regions of Brazil and to ports used for exports.
In addition to road infrastructure, Ponta Grossa has structured industrial districts and a growing supply of services aimed at the productive sector, such as cargo transportation, storage, and machine maintenance.
The arrival of Nissin’s mega factory is expected to intensify this dynamic and attract new suppliers and partners to the vicinity of the enterprise.
Nissin’s Expansion in Brazil
With the new plant, Nissin Foods do Brasil strengthens its operations in the country, where it already produces dozens of items aimed at direct consumption, primarily in the instant noodle line.
The installation in Ponta Grossa inserts Paraná more prominently on the company’s global map, which has industrial units across different continents and uses Brazil as one of its strategic markets.
The combination of a robust consumer market, logistical infrastructure, and state incentive programs was decisive for the choice of location, according to information released by official bodies.
The expectation is that the operation of the Paraná factory will contribute both to consolidate the brand with Brazilian consumers and to increase the shipment of products to neighboring countries.
