BYD Cuts Up to R$ 39,800 on the Song Line and Places Dolphin Mini Below R$ 104,000 in Black Friday Push

With aggressive discounts, BYD is using Black Friday to offer hybrids and electric vehicles with reductions of up to R$ 39,800 in the Song family and selling the Dolphin Mini for less than R$ 104,000 in direct sales to CNPJ. The strategy targets those who have been postponing their switch to an electrified vehicle due to price and now find more accessible options at the end of November.

In practice, BYD is concentrating the campaign between November 18 and 30, focusing on two clear pillars: pushing the plug-in hybrid SUV Song line to a more competitive price point and using the Dolphin Mini, the best-selling electric vehicle in the country in 2025, as an entry point for fleets, taxi drivers, and the PCD audience. It’s a volume-driven move, designed to unlock business at year-end and position itself in the electrified market with a more aggressive Black Friday than the industry average.

BYD’s Black Friday Targets Electrified Vehicles with Real Discounts

BYD’s Black Friday campaign is structured to combine direct price reductions with a well-defined target audience.

In the Song family, the focus is on consumers looking to switch to a plug-in hybrid SUV but who have been deterred by the price difference compared to traditional combustion models.

In the case of the Dolphin Mini, BYD leverages the strength of the vehicle as the best-selling electric car in Brazil in 2025, offering specific conditions for CNPJ, PCD, and taxi drivers.

The logic is clear: using Black Friday to lower the initial entry barrier into the world of electrics and accelerate the brand’s presence in high-mileage fleets that provide visibility on the streets.

Song Line Receives Cuts of Up to R$ 39,800

BYD launches Black Friday campaign with strong discounts on the Song line and Dolphin Mini, using direct sales to reduce prices and attract those looking to switch to electric and hybrid.

The main highlight of the campaign is the Song line.

The three main models are appearing with significant cuts for the promotional period, all contingent on stock in Snow color.

The Song Plus Premium is now offered for R$ 259,990, with a reduction of R$ 39,800 from the full price. The Song Plus sees a drop of R$ 25,000, coming in at R$ 224,990.

The Song Pro GS enters Black Friday at R$ 179,990, with a discount of R$ 20,000.

In practice, BYD compresses the price gap between its plug-in hybrids and more traditional mid-sized SUVs, trying to attract customers who previously viewed the Song as a distant option.

By concentrating discounts on the Song family, BYD reinforces the importance of these models in building its image of plug-in hybrid technology in Brazil.

The campaign also serves as a tool to move inventory at year-end, without resorting only to one-off dealership discounts.

Dolphin Mini Below R$ 104,000 in Direct Sales

BYD launches Black Friday campaign with strong discounts on the Song line and Dolphin Mini, using direct sales to reduce prices and attract those looking to switch to electric and hybrid.

In the realm of pure electrics, the Dolphin Mini GL emerges as the main tool in BYD’s Black Friday offensive.

In direct sales to CNPJ clients, the model is advertised at R$ 103,521, representing a discount of R$ 15,469 from the original reference.

For PCD and taxi drivers, the conditions with IPI and ICMS exemptions previously communicated remain valid.

In these cases, the Dolphin Mini is offered for R$ 99,990 for people with disabilities and R$ 98,590 for taxi drivers.

In other words, BYD is using Black Friday to reinforce pricing that positions the compact electric vehicle close to more equipped combustion compact cars, bringing the “accessible electric” narrative closer to the reality of high-mileage drivers.

BYD Chooses the Timing and Target of the Campaign

The choice of the window between November 18 and 30 is not coincidental. It’s the period when Black Friday sees most purchasing decisions and negotiations with dealerships, both in retail and direct sales.

BYD aims to capture this attention with clear discount numbers, avoiding vague offers or those conditioned to opaque packages.

By directing the campaign toward the Song and Dolphin Mini, the brand also signals its commercial pillars heading into year-end.

The Song line consolidates BYD’s positioning among electrified SUVs, while the Dolphin Mini maintains its role as a volume showcase, especially in corporate fleets, taxis, and operations linked to CNPJ.

What Consumers Need to Consider Before Closing a Deal

Even with discounts of nearly R$ 40,000, the decision to purchase a plug-in hybrid or electric vehicle requires careful consideration.

Customers need to consider usage profile, access to charging points, cost of home charger installation, and the impact of residual value on future resale.

In the case of BYD’s Black Friday, the fact that the discounts are explicitly stated in exact numbers is advantageous, as it allows for easier comparison of offers with combustion competitors and other electrics.

On the flip side, it’s crucial to check financing conditions, delivery times, availability of the Snow color in the Song line, and specific rules for direct sales on the Dolphin Mini.

Strong discounts are important, but the financial sustainability of the purchase and the vehicle’s fit for everyday use remain decisive factors.

In light of this Black Friday offensive from BYD, would you prioritize a hybrid from the Song line with a higher discount or an electric Dolphin Mini below R$ 104,000 in direct sales to start your transition to an electrified vehicle?
