Launched in Florianópolis, the new generation of the Biz arrives with a digital panel, brake on the lever, and two distinct versions, ES and EX, with prices starting at R$ 14,000.
According to a thorough assessment, Honda introduced the new generation of one of its best-selling successes, the Biz 125. The 2025 model comes with significant changes in design, technology, and practicality, aiming to maintain leadership in a segment it helped create. The new Honda Biz 125 EX 2025, top-of-the-line version, features the main updates.
The CUB, which has sold over 4 million units since its launch in 1998, has been updated to be safer and more practical, without losing the characteristics that made it famous: fuel economy, which Honda claims can reach 51 km/l, and ease of handling.
Design and Practicality: The Updates of the Biz 2025
The design of the Biz 2025 has been revised, with smoother lines that better integrate the front and rear, giving it a more sophisticated look. One of the most practical changes is in the seat opening system, which is now done directly at the ignition, making it easier to access the compartment. The under-seat space remains generous, capable of accommodating a full-face helmet and other items.

Fiat works miracles in the Brazilian market, lowers the price of its 0 km hatch to R$ 69,990, reestablishes the model as the cheapest car in the country, and reignites the battle against Kwid and C3.
At the front, the motorcycle gained a new storage compartment and a useful USB-C socket, ideal for charging a phone. The panel is now 100% digital in both versions, with gear indicator, speedometer, fuel gauge, and trip computer. In the top-of-the-line version, the new Honda Biz 125 EX 2025, the panel is a blackout type, more modern.
Engine, Brakes, and the Controversy of the Entry Version

The engine that powers both versions of the Biz 2025 is the same, a single-cylinder 123.9 cm³, generating 9.3 horsepower and 1.03 kgf.m of torque. The transmission remains the well-known semi-automatic four-speed, which does not require clutch activation.
The biggest change in the chassis is in the braking system. The rear brake, which was previously activated by a pedal, is now on the left lever, like on scooters. The system is of the combined type (CBS). The controversy lies with the entry version, the ES, which comes with drum brakes on both wheels. According to Honda, the choice aims to provide more progressive braking for beginner riders in regions with poor pavement.
The Differences Between the Biz 125 ES and the New Honda Biz 125 EX 2025
The 2025 line of the Biz arrives with two well-defined versions for distinct audiences.
Biz 125 ES: the entry-level version, with a suggested price of R$ 14,000, comes with spoked wheels and drum brakes on both axles. Its engine runs only on gasoline. Honda justifies that this configuration meets the needs of consumers in rural areas, where ethanol is not financially advantageous.
New Honda Biz 125 EX 2025: the top-of-the-line version, with a starting price of R$ 17,970, offers a more complete package. It comes with alloy wheels, tubeless Michelin tires, and disc brake at the front. Its engine is FlexOne, accepting both gasoline and ethanol. The blackout type panel and LED position light at the front are also exclusive to this model.
How Does the New Biz Perform in the City?
The change of the rear brake to the left lever may cause initial strangeness for experienced motorcyclists, used to the pedal. However, for beginners, who according to Honda represent 55% of Biz owners, adaptation tends to be easier and more intuitive.
The motorcycle remains extremely agile and easy to ride in urban traffic. Weighing 96 kg (dry weight), it is light and accessible, with a seat height of 78 cm that allows most people to touch the ground confidently. The major advantage of the Biz over scooters remains the use of larger wheels (17-inch at the front) and the gearbox, which provides more power for climbing.
Price and Cost-Benefit: Is It Worth Buying the New Biz?
The new Honda Biz 125 EX 2025 and its entry-level sibling, the ES, arrive with competitive prices and a maintenance cost that, according to Honda, is only R$ 0.18 per kilometer, considering fuel and servicing up to 36,000 km.
With the practicality of the new storage compartment with USB-C, the digital panel, and ease of handling, the Biz 2025 strengthens its position as one of the smartest options for urban mobility in Brazil. The choice between the ES and EX versions will depend on the budget and the needs of each consumer, with the EX offering a visibly superior safety and technology package.
