Local Mayor Commented
For Mayor Kennedy Aquino, the result confirms the strategic importance of the municipality in the global scenario.
“This result shows that Uruoca is definitively inserted in the global scenario. Our municipality, which has always been recognized for the strength of our people’s work, establishes itself as a reference in exports in Ceara. We are talking about job creation, income, and opportunities for our population,” he highlighted.
Other municipalities also played a relevant role in the sector’s exports. Caucaia ranked second, with US$ 7,981,172, followed by Santa Quitéria, which exported US$ 6,227,735.
Morrinhos and Massapê appear among the main exporters, although with less significant participation.
The survey was conducted by the Federation of Industries of the State of Ceará (FIEC) based on data from the Secretariat of Foreign Trade (Secex), linked to the Ministry of Development, Industry, Commerce, and Services.
