Honda Motorcycles Launches A New Innovative Model, Positioning Itself To Lead The Market. The Motorcycle, Priced At R$ 7 Thousand, Offers An Exceptional 10-Year Warranty For Customers.

This year, Honda introduced a new motorcycle model to the Indian market with an innovative proposal aimed at attracting a larger number of customers. The highlight of the motorcycle, called SP160, is the extended warranty of up to 10 years, a remarkable differential in the segment. This model, with its 160 cc, bears similarities to the CG160, popular in the Brazilian market, but stands out with its more modern lines and a series of additional features, promising to be an attractive option for motorcycle enthusiasts.

According to data from the manufacturer, the new Honda motorcycle not only features an LED headlight and taillight, ABS brakes, and a digital panel but also has several other advantages worth checking out. The SP160 is equipped with a 162.7 cc single-cylinder engine working in conjunction with a 5-speed gearbox, delivering a configuration similar to that of the CG 160, but with a difference – the use of gasoline and torque output is lower, being 13.2 hp at 7,500 rpm and 1.48 kgfm at 5,500 rpm compared to 15.1 hp and 1.54 kgfm provided by the flex used in the CG160.

At first, there is no indication that the new Honda motorcycle will come to Brazil, since the Honda motorcycle model was developed to be sold in India, however, it would be a great option to replace the CG160, considering that in terms of safety, for example, there are two brake options, which are the single disc, featuring a 276 mm disc brake in the front and a drum at the rear, and the dual disc, which has discs on both wheels, one of 276 mm at the front and 220 mm at the rear tire, both equipped with ABS.

Honda Motorcycles Model Is Sold For R$ 7 Thousand

The design of the new Honda motorcycle is more detailed and features a slightly sportier fairing, unlike the simple CG. Even the passenger grab handle features a slightly redesigned look. Its wheels come with 80/100 R17 tires in the front and 130/70 R17 in the rear. Its fuel tank can hold up to 12 L.

An interesting highlight is that Honda Motorcycles maintained the kick-start system in the vehicle. This is a common feature in the Indian market, in addition to the electric start.

Regarding the price, in India, the new Honda motorcycle is around 117,500 rupees, which in our currency is approximately R$ 7 thousand, providing a very good cost-benefit considering that the SP160 is quite similar to the Brazilian CG160. The warranty is for 3 years, extendable for another 7 years if the customer chooses this option.

Honda’s Rival Brings Affordable Models To The Market

Honda is well-known for being one of the major vehicle manufacturers and one of the most beloved in Brazil. However, the cheapest motorcycle is from its rival, Shineray, with the Worker 125 model. According to reports, the model is priced at R$ 8,490, delivering a 123.67 cc engine, 7.2 hp and 0.80 kgfm of torque, making it a vehicle that can capture a large audience.

The advantages don’t stop there, extending to a 4-speed manual transmission, disc brakes in the front and drum in the rear. Additionally, the rival model also includes electric and kick-start options. Originally introduced in 2021, the model is priced at around R$ 8,490, making it a great alternative.
