Ford Focus Sedan Unites 2.0 Duratec Engine with Up to 148 HP, Reliable Automatic Transmission, Independent Suspension, and 526-Liter Trunk, Delivering Comfort and Complete Technical Package in the Used Car Market.

The Ford Focus Sedan GLX 2.0 AT 2012 emerges as a solid alternative for those seeking a well-built mid-size automatic sedan focused on comfort. With a reference price around R$ 34 thousand, it combines the 2.0 Duratec engine, four-speed automatic transmission with torque converter, and chassis tuning recognized for its independent suspension on all four wheels. It is a setup oriented towards smooth riding, stability, and everyday use.

In the used car universe, the Ford Focus Sedan stands out for its technical package and internal space, without compromising practicality. The 526-liter trunk accommodates families and long trips, while the finishing and ergonomics favor relaxed driving. The buyer finds a real balance between price, comfort, and content, respecting the usual care for any vehicle over a decade old.

Mechanical Assembly and Performance

With a price of R$ 34 thousand and a 2.0 Duratec engine with up to 148 hp, this automatic sedan delivers independent suspension, a 526-liter trunk, and exemplary comfort; get to know the Ford Focus Sedan GLX 2.0 AT 2012

The Ford Focus Sedan GLX 2.0 uses the four-cylinder Duratec with up to 148 hp on ethanol and 143 hp on gasoline, prioritizing linear power delivery and quiet running.

In practical terms, the car offers competent acceleration for the category and secure overtaking, thanks to the torque curve and transmission gearing.

For urban and highway use, the mechanical fluidity is one of the model’s attractions.

The automatic transmission 4F27E, with four gears and torque converter, is known for its robustness and should not be confused with Powershift.

The powertrain prioritizes durability and comfort, with predictable responses compatible with the family-oriented proposal of the car.

The independent suspension on all four wheels, disc brakes with ABS, and steering calibration contribute to stability and the feeling of a planted car in curves.

Real-World Consumption and Usage

In everyday use, the Ford Focus Sedan automatic prioritizes comfort, and this reflects on fuel consumption.

On ethanol, average consumption is reported to be 4 to 4.5 km/l in the city and 8 to 9 km/l on the highway.

On gasoline, the numbers typically range between 5.5 to 8 km/l in the city and 10 to 13 km/l on the freeway, variations explained by traffic, terrain, and driving style.

The four-speed transmission favors smoothness but not maximum efficiency.

With planning, it is possible to optimize results. Timely preventive maintenance, correct tires, and progressive driving help extract the best from the setup.

For those mostly driving on highways, consumption improves, and the 55-liter tank’s range becomes a practical differential.

Space, Ergonomics, and Trunk

The Ford Focus Sedan offers a cozy cabin, seats with good support and low, ergonomic driving position, facilitating long periods behind the wheel.

The sense of structural solidity and acoustic insulation reinforces the focus on comfort, with a soft-touch front finish and easy-to-read controls.

It is a sedan designed for long trips without fatigue.

For the family, the 526-liter trunk accommodates bulky luggage with ease, and folding down the backrest enhances versatility for occasional loads.

In terms of dimensions, the 2.64 m wheelbase contributes to good rear space, while the suspension calibration prioritizes absorption of irregularities without sacrificing directional precision.

Maintenance and Estimated Costs

The routine of revisions for the Ford Focus Sedan is straightforward and without secrets when using correctly specified parts.

In common maintenance belt estimates, oil and filter changes can cost around R$ 420, a set of shock absorbers with mounts between R$ 2,000 and R$ 2,500, spark plugs from R$ 200 to R$ 350, and coils between R$ 800 and R$ 1,000. Suspension items like tie rods and wishbones usually have competitive prices for the category.

Pay attention to the engine hydraulic mount and the water pump, which deserve quality parts to avoid vibrations and recurrences.

With transmission fluid changed at appropriate intervals and preventive inspections, the 4F27E transmission tends to offer long service life.

The setup is globally spread and facilitates component availability.

Responsible Purchase in the Used Market

In the market, the Ford Focus Sedan GLX 2.0 AT 2012 positions itself as a rational purchase for those prioritizing comfort, chassis structure, and a large trunk on a controlled budget.

The technical pre-purchase is mandatory: scanner, history check, suspension assessment, and verification of any options installed by the first owner.

The comparison with Japanese rivals should consider price differences often favorable to the Focus.

The higher urban consumption is on the radar, but it is balanced by exemplary comfort, stability, and complete technical package. For those who drive more on highways and value smoothness, the cost-benefit tends to stand out.

Would you choose the Ford Focus Sedan GLX 2.0 AT 2012 for around R$ 34 thousand prioritizing comfort and technical setup, or would you forgo the higher consumption in search of another sedan in this range?

Obrigado ☺️
