A company has developed a subscription solar energy program in SP, which will work in the same format as subscription TV programs. The aim is to encourage the use of the source and reduce electricity consumption in the Sorocaba region.
Now consumers in Sorocaba (SP) can have solar energy by subscription, through the program developed by the Araçoiaba da Serra solar plant, in partnership with Aeas. The initiative was presented earlier this week in the Parque Campolim neighborhood. The Association of Engineers and Architects of Sorocaba (AEAS) joined the subscription solar energy program and, at the same time, installed an AI device that monitors the site's electricity consumption in real time.

The project was created by Sun Mobi, the company responsible for the plant, with the aim of encouraging the use of the source. The company's partner-director, Alexandre Bueno, says that the program will work in the same way as pay-TV services, streaming, post-paid cell phone plans, among others.
In addition, the project aims to reduce the electricity bill in this period of escalating electricity rates in the country and also avoids wasting electricity throughout the operation. It is estimated that the project will reduce AEAS' electricity consumption by up to 11%.

According to Alexandre, subscription solar energy will be offered through the Araçoiaba solar plant to any resident of Sorocaba (SP) and other interested regions. Therefore, consumers will not have to pay for the installation and will only pay a monthly fee for the subscription to the service. Homes, condominiums, small businesses and even large industries can join the subscription solar energy program.
AEAS Sorocaba pronounces on electricity savings
According to the electrical engineer and president of AEAS Sorocaba, Heverton Bacca Sanches, who is also a specialist in solar energy, this is the perfect time to focus on the source, considering that this year the Electric Energy Framework was signed by the president Jair Bolsonaro.
Low voltage residential and commercial consumers, which are made up of homes and small businesses, have up to one year to escape the distribution fee until 2045.
If they start their energy projects until next year, they will pay a progressive fee until 2045, if they manage to install the photovoltaic generator with the solar modules, inverter and other equipment so that they can generate their own energy. All of this, and still having to approve it alongside the distributor, must be done by the beginning of January.
Understand about monitoring
Sun Mobi's monitoring technology tracks electricity consumption and, when there is a peak consumption of electrical appliances, the monitor issues alerts and generates reports with information on user behavior in relation to equipment energy consumption, helping and raising awareness of SP users.
In commercial establishments, the monitoring equipment states that the biggest villains are air conditioning, refrigerator, freezer and electric oven. Already in houses, they are the electric shower, the iron, the electric oven and the pool pumps. The equipment is a sensor that is installed in the light panel of consumers in SP.
