A Company Developed A Solar Energy Subscription Program In SP That Will Work In The Same Format As Subscription TV Programs. The Aim Is To Promote The Use Of The Source And Reduce Electricity Consumption In The Region Of Sorocaba
Now consumers in Sorocaba (SP) can have solar energy by subscription, through the program developed by the solar plant in Araçoiaba da Serra, in partnership with Aeas. The initiative was presented early this week in the Parque Campolim neighborhood. The Sorocaba Association of Engineers and Architects (AEAS) joined the solar energy subscription program and, at the same time, installed an AI device that monitors the electricity consumption of the location in real time.

The project was created by Sun Mobi, the company responsible for the plant, with the aim of encouraging the use of the source. The company’s partner-director, Alexandre Bueno, states that the program will operate in the same way as subscription TV services, streaming, postpaid mobile plans, among others.
Additionally, the project aims to reduce electricity bills during this period of rising electricity tariffs in the country and also prevents electricity waste throughout the operation. The estimate is that the project will reduce AEAS’s electricity consumption by up to 11%.

According to Alexandre, the solar energy by subscription will be offered through the solar plant in Araçoiaba to any resident of Sorocaba (SP) and other interested regions. Therefore, consumers will not have to bear the installation costs and will pay only a monthly fee for the service subscription. Houses, condominiums, small businesses, and even large industries can join the solar energy subscription program.
AEAS Sorocaba Comments On Electricity Savings
According to the electrical engineer and president of AEAS Sorocaba, Heverton Bacca Sanches, who is also a solar energy specialist, this is the perfect time to focus on the source, considering that this year the Electric Energy Framework was signed by President Jair Bolsonaro.
Residential and commercial consumers on low voltage, which consist of houses and small businesses, have up to a year to escape the distribution fee until 2045.
If they start their energy projects by next year, they will pay a progressive fee until 2045, provided they can install the photovoltaic generator with solar modules, an inverter, and other equipment to generate their own energy. All of this, and still having to certify with the distributor, must be done by the beginning of January.
Understand Monitoring
The monitoring technology from Sun Mobi tracks electricity usage and, when there is a peak in consumption from electrical devices, the monitor issues alerts and generates reports with information on user behavior regarding energy expenditures of the equipment, assisting and raising awareness among users in SP.
In commercial establishments, the monitoring equipment identifies that the biggest culprits are air conditioning, refrigerators, freezers, and electric ovens. In homes, they are electric showers, irons, electric ovens, and pool pumps. The equipment is a sensor that is installed in the electrical panel of consumers in SP.
