Nelore Donna Achieved Unprecedented Valuation by Combining Valued Genetics, Award-Winning Performance, and Reproductive Structure That Enhances Return Potential in the Livestock Market

Donna achieved an unprecedented value because her lineage is considered exceptional. The Nelore cow has characteristics that reinforce her importance in the genetic improvement of the herd. This combination explains the interest from investors and the record level reached in the market.

The animal had a quota sold at an auction valued at R$ 54 million. The process occurred through quotas, so several buyers participated in the negotiation.

Among them is singer Murilo Huff, who acquired 25% of the animal for about R$ 13.5 million alongside a group of partners. This practice allows for risk sharing and broader access to elite animals.

Origin and Relevance

Donna was born in Paraná, is about 10 years old, and weighs approximately 1 ton. Today, she lives in Uberaba, Minas Gerais.

She descends from a prominent dam and bull, and she exhibits consistent performance in competitions.

In 2024, she won a gold medal as Best Dam of the National Ranking, reinforcing her reputation in the sector.

Reproductive Potential

Experts emphasize that Donna produces animals that often become record holders at auctions. Therefore, her offspring have a great chance of reaching high values.

This turns the purchase into a long-term investment, as the genetic quality tends to be maintained across generations.

Donna’s mother, Parla, also stood out and was sold for about R$ 27 million, which shows the increasing valuation of this segment.

The cow has three clones that help increase the production of embryos and calves. According to the farm manager, the clones make the investment more secure because they allow for genetic material generation for many years.

The continuity of this production reinforces the return expectations of the co-owners.

Daily Care for Cow Donna

Donna follows an intense routine. She is bathed daily, receives a balanced diet, and has a large paddock to walk and rest.

The environment also includes the company of a clone named Doninha, which contributes to the animal’s well-being and performance.
