The Government of the State of São Paulo Issued an Official Statement Announcing the Holding of a New Cetesb SP Contest for Various Positions.
According to the Secretary of the Environment, Infrastructure, and Logistics, Natália Resende, the offer of 224 positions is expected, with the publication of the announcement in the second half of 2023. The contest was already anticipated in the State Plan for the Environment, with a budgeted amount of R$ 36.2 million.
Positions and vacancies are yet to be confirmed, but the expectation is that the offer will be aimed at areas of inspection, technical analysis, and support for wildlife, strengthening the institution. According to the Secretary, the 224 positions will renew and enhance the current technical staff of Cetesb, making the licensing processes more efficient and with greater legal security.
It is worth noting that in addition to compensation, Cetesb also offers health insurance plans, meal vouchers, food vouchers, transportation vouchers, group life insurance, and personal accident insurance. According to the Secretary, the hiring of the approved candidates is expected to occur by the end of 2023.

Last Cetesb SP Contest
The last Cetesb SP contest took place in 2012, more than ten years ago, with an offer of ten vacancies for immediate filling and a reserve list for elementary, middle, and higher education levels. The Vunesp Foundation was the organizing body, and the positions were distributed as follows:
- Elementary level: general services assistant (5th grade) and laboratory assistant (completed level)
- Middle level: clerk, control center operator, administrative technician
- Technical level: secretarial, human resources/administration, accounting/finance, nursing, information technology, environmental (various areas), and occupational safety.
- Higher education: lawyer, administrative analyst, environmental analyst (various areas), environmental education analyst (various areas), IT analyst, architect, auditor, biologist, biomedical, agronomic engineer, civil engineer, electrical engineer, forestry engineer, mechanical engineer, chemical engineer, occupational safety engineer, statistician, pharmacochemistry, physicist, geophysicist, geographer, geologist, occupational physician, meteorologist, and chemist, in addition to technologist (mechanical or environmental).
