UERJ, the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro, has opened applications for 30 vacancies for high school and higher education, in the positions of systems programmer, information technology technician, nutritionist, clinical laboratory analyst, and physician. The UERJ Contest – Stages and Exams
The contest with vacancies for high school and higher education at the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro will have objective tests that will cover knowledge in the following areas:
- Specific knowledge in the chosen area;
- Portuguese language;
- Unified Health System (for those who opted for vacancies in the health area);
- Legislation;
In addition, the public contest for the state of Rio de Janeiro will also have written tests, but only for the positions of nutritionist, physician, and clinical laboratory analyst, so it is necessary to have intensive preparation for the tests.

Salaries and Benefits Offered at UERJ
As mentioned earlier, those approved and hired for the vacancies offered by the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro will receive a starting salary of R$ 3.561,08 to R$ 5.746,56, which may vary according to the position chosen by the candidate.
Additionally, since this is a public contest, the approved candidates for the high school and higher education vacancies may receive as benefits, in addition to the salary:
- Food allowance;
- Transportation allowance;
- Birth aid;
- Family salary;
- Training leave;
- Additional payment for night hours and increases in remuneration for obtaining new qualifications;

Applications for the contest have been open since yesterday, April 24 (Wednesday), and will continue until May 23 (Thursday), at 11:59 PM and can be made through the official UERJ website (CLICK HERE TO REGISTER). The application fee for this contest varies, being R$220 for the positions of nutritionist, physician, and clinical laboratory analyst and R$160 for information technology technician. The exams will be held on June 23 at the Maracanã Campus.
