The president of the Brazilian Institute of Environment and Renewable Natural Resources (Ibama), Rodrigo Agostinho, brought good news for those interested in a career at the agency. In an interview with Brasil em Pauta, on the Federal Government’s YouTube channel, Agostinho expressed his optimism regarding the holding of a new Ibama competition in early 2024, with the announcement possibly published between April and May, and the opening of more than 2,400 positions.

In a letter sent to the Minister of the Environment, Marina Silva, Agostinho had already confirmed the planning for a new competition, seeking the hiring of new employees.

When Will The Ibama Competition 2023 Be Announced?
Although the next Ibama competition still awaits official authorization, expectations are high, and President Agostinho confirmed that the selection process is on the agency’s radar.
The director of Planning, Administration and Logistics of Ibama, Gustavo Henrique Moreira Alvares da Silva, clarified that calling the surplus candidates from the last competition is the first step, followed by the transformation of vacant positions, allowing the holding of a new competition thereafter.
