Registration Open for Technicians Seeking a Naval Career!
The Brazilian Navy announces the opening of a new public competition, offering opportunities for qualified individuals who wish to join the Technical Staff of the Naval Fleet (QTPA). With registrations expected to begin in July, the announcement promises to intensify competition among male and female candidates for the 11 available positions, according to folhaqconcursos.
Start of Registrations and Required Qualifications
Registrations for the public competition of the Navy will be open from July 9 to 31, accessible through the institution’s official portal. However, interested candidates must have technical training in the areas of Electrotechnics or Mechanics, with specializations ranging from Industrial Automation to Refrigeration and Air Conditioning. Additionally, it is essential that candidates are between 18 and 25 years old and meet the height requirements stipulated, which is a minimum height of 1.54 m and a maximum of 2m.

Selection Process and Stages of the Navy’s Public Competition
However, the selection process will be rigorous, including a written objective test and a composition, both scheduled for September 15. In addition to the tests, the following criteria will also be used for evaluation:

In addition to following the standards of formal Portuguese registration, the goal of the test is to assess the skills of expression and writing. Thus, the work will address a topic considered important by the Naval Administration in the form of a thesis argument and must have a minimum of 15 lines and a maximum of 30.
However, according to the announcement, candidates who score less than 50% of the questions in the objective Knowledge of Professionals test in each technical area will be eliminated from the written test, or will not classify up to the limit of ten times the number of established vacancies, considering ties in the last position or if they score less than 50 on a scale of zero to 100 in the composition.
Benefits and Compensation
Candidates approved in the public competition for naval personnel will be rewarded with an initial gross salary of R$1,414.82, composed of military salary and benefits. The navy will also offer fee exemption for candidates belonging to families registered in the Single Registry for Social Programs (CadÚnico) of the Federal Government, whose monthly family income per capita is less than or equal to half the national minimum wage, as well as for bone marrow donors registered in entities recognized by the Ministry of Health.
