The Next PM TO Contest (Military Police of the State of Tocantins) Has Been Authorized for the Filling of About 650 Vacancies. Despite the Public Notice Not Yet Having a Defined Date, It Still Foresees for This Year.
This information was announced at the graduation of 958 military police officers who were in the last class of the Basic Training Contest, last Thursday (01/19).
On this Monday (01/23), the corporation confirmed the authorization for the selection, which is expected to offer more than 600 vacancies for the Basic Training Course and another 50 for the Officer Training Course.
According to the governor, this new public contest for the Military Police of Tocantins aims to further fill the positions of police officers who will be going into retirement.

In addition to these immediate opportunities, the feasibility of creating a reserve list will also be studied.
“We opened a new contest and will legally analyze whether we can call the reserve list from the current contest,” the governor stated.
The governor also added that the purpose of this new contest is to increase security for the populations of the state.
“We will deploy more police officers with vehicles, weapons, and security equipment to protect the population of our State,” he concluded.
Last Contest
The last PM Tocantins contest was held in 2020, organized by the Cebraspe agency. This selection offered about 1,025 vacancies for soldiers, health technicians, and musicians, distributed as follows:
– Musician: 50 vacancies
– Nursing Technician: 20 vacancies
– Dental Health Technician: 5 vacancies
– Soldier: 950 vacancies
Initially, all these opportunities were to be for the soldier positions, but they were reallocated to include a few more functions.
The public contest occurs through written tests, psychological evaluation, physical ability exam, medical and dental assessment, social investigation; and for the training course. Candidates answered about 60 multiple-choice questions regarding the subjects of:
– Portuguese
– Current Affairs and Knowledge about the State of Tocantins;
– Basic Computer Skills;
– Basic Law
– Regulations Related to PMTO;
– Logical Reasoning.
Despite all the expectations for the public notice revealing the number of vacancies mentioned, there is still no confirmation that it will be fully offered in the next notice, given that there are still about 500 approved candidates to be called from the previous selection.
Requirements for the Position
– High school diploma for those interested in the Soldier career and a complete higher education degree for those in the Officer career
– Minimum age of 18 and maximum of 32 years;
– Minimum height of 1.63m for men and 1.60m for women;
– Driver’s license starting from category “B”
