The Energy Research Company (EPE) Announced the Opening of a New Public Competition, Offering a Total of 1,150 Vacancies for Three Higher Education Positions, with an Initial Salary of R$ 13,8 Thousand Monthly.
Of the total vacancies, 90 are for immediate hiring and 1,060 for the reserve list, allowing convocations during the validity of the competition.
The positions and their respective vacancies are:
- Lawyer: 4 immediate vacancies and 40 for the reserve list;
- Corporate Management Analyst: 35 immediate vacancies and 390 for the reserve list;
- Energy Research Analyst: 51 immediate vacancies and 630 for the reserve list.
The positions will be allocated at the headquarters in Rio de Janeiro or at EPE’s office in Brasília, Federal District.

The EPE competition announcements total more than 1,100 vacancies for three higher education positions. The first announcement is for the position of lawyer, with a total of 44 vacancies, including 4 immediate and 40 for the reserve list. Candidates must have a bachelor’s degree in Law and registration with the OAB.
The second announcement offers 425 vacancies for the corporate management analyst position, with 35 for immediate hiring and 390 for the reserve list.
Candidates with a higher education degree in areas such as Administration, Economics, Law, Accounting, Systems Analysis, Production Engineering, Psychology, Social Work, among others, may apply.
The vacancies for corporate management analyst are divided by specialty:
- General Administration – Profile 1: Administration: 6 immediate vacancies and 60 for the reserve list;
- General Administration – Profile 2: Corporate Governance: 3 immediate and 30 for the reserve list;
- Human Resources – Profile 1: Human Resources: 1 immediate and 30 for the reserve list;

- Information Technology – Profile 1: Infrastructure and Security: 8 immediate and 80 for the reserve list;
- Information Technology – Profile 2: Solutions: 4 immediate and 40 for the reserve list;
- Information Technology – Profile 3: Data Science: 6 immediate and 60 for the reserve list;
- Accounting: 2 immediate and 30 for the reserve list;
- Finance and Budget: 3 immediate and 30 for the reserve list.
The third announcement offers 681 vacancies for energy research analyst, with 51 immediate and 630 for the reserve list. The specialties for energy research analyst include:

- Energy Resources: 4 immediate and 40 for the reserve list;
- Energy Transmission: 19 immediate and 190 for the reserve list;

Candidates must prove higher education in the desired area and registration with the corresponding professional council.
Salary and Benefits
Approved candidates in the EPE competition will have an initial salary of R$ 13,819.45, which can reach R$ 14,646.02 with the food allowance of R$ 826.57. Additionally, there are benefits such as transportation allowance, medical and dental assistance, childcare assistance, culture vouchers, and private pension.
Registrations
Registrations will be open from 4 PM on June 12 until July 11, through the website of the Getulio Vargas Foundation (FGV), organizer of the competition. The registration fee is R$ 120. Fee waiver requests can be made between June 12 and 14 by low-income candidates registered with CadÚnico or bone marrow donors.
Exams
The objective and discursive exams are scheduled for September 1. The objective exam will have between 70 and 80 questions, depending on the position:
- Lawyer: 20 questions on Basic Knowledge (Portuguese and English) and 50 on Specific Knowledge;
- Corporate Management Analyst: 35 questions on Basic Knowledge and 45 on Specific Knowledge;
- Energy Research Analyst: 25 questions on Basic Knowledge and 45 on Specific Knowledge.
The discursive exam will be applied only for lawyers (legal opinion of up to 90 lines) and energy research analysts (specific question of up to 30 lines). The competition will be valid for two years, extendable for another two years.
